Well, hopefully more Europeans join soon. I'm kind of surprised you're the only active one... Anyway, not like it matters for me right now, but I should be available throughout the day when I get back. 8 PM CST sounds good.
  2. Just the normal hurricane/typhoon and earthquake in Taiwan. I don't remember any big ones, Taipei rarely is the center of them. Though once, there was a big one in Fong Yuan, where my grandma lives. I don't think I was there though...I was like 2...
  3. I would go build myself a bow and some arrows, then go hunting. For people, that is.
  4. There's a forest on a hill outside the school I used to go to, my friends and I would go there all the time. The top would be our headquarters, I guess... Anyway, we would fool around up there all the time...We went back this past year, did some random things... We picked up a giant log and tried to knock down a dead tree. (Hey...It was dead...) We found sticks and "fought" with them. We had a snowball fight with some little kids. :P We sledded down the hill...Without sleds... And yay for emulators.
  5. I was playing piano last week...Having some fun with the music from Lord of the Rings (Rohan FTW). My hand started to hurt, and I was just like..."Wtf..." (Never hurt myself playing piano before :wall: ) A few days later, I find out that I have two cuts there. Definitely not from piano...
  6. Some video (computer) games, maybe even a PS3/360 (...With games, of course). Video games are fun.

Also true for me... Currently, I'm not addicted to any games. So I get bored...A lot...I play random flash games, some Wii, or even play piano when I am. Oh, and I randomly walk around the house. I don't know if I should be glad I'm going to Taiwan soon...It could be even more boring (No Wii or piano...So just flash games...), but it could also be pretty fun. :| (I would hang out/talk with my friends, but they've all apparently deserted me. #-o )
  8. If you want to count the three EE LotR movies as one, then you have like 11-12 hours. I've watched them back-to-back-to-back before... :wall: I never came close to falling asleep though, by far my favorite movies ever. Anyway, if you want to look at them individually, RotK is the longest of the three, as stated, the EE is 252 minutes. Though I really doubt that's the longest. Also noted, Gettysburg...We watched segments of it in history this year, my teacher said it was way too long to watch the whole thing. I know he said it was over four hours, I don't know exactly how long though. One of these?
  9. Jay Chou...Only relatively famous person I've ever met... And I kind of agree with Lateralus. I don't think that many people like Harry Potter for the story. It's light fantasy, so it can be appealing to everyone. I also think that it has to do with the length of the books. Long books tend to be good. And since Lord of the Rings, Sword of Truth, Wheel of Time, and the like aren't as widely known (Except LotR...Or are they? I've never heard of SoT or WoT before this thread. :wall: ), Harry Potter is the long, epic story. I guess.

I'd add you, but I'm in New York right now, and I'm going on another vacation soon. When Kent returns to America for Asia, I leave Asia for America. :) Anyway, I was at Rockefeller Center today, and I was just like...Bleh...Clothes... :| Then I see...NINTENDO WORLD! :o Yea, I was pretty excited. I spent like an hour there. They had shirts... I got one with Link on it, it says "Twilight Princess" on the back though, so people who have no idea about it will probably think "Wtf...He's a twilight princess?" :? There were also plush thingies...There were Kirbys, Jigglypuffs, a bunch of random Pokemon...Including Mudkips! I ended up buying a Toad, adding on to my mushroom collection... Also, of course, there were stations with Wiis...One of them had Brawl...To be honest, nearly every person there sucked, I think only one other person could beat a level 9. Too bad they didn't let multi-player... So yeah. Even though I don't have my Wii, Nintendo is still pleasing me. : (On another not-so-good note, I'm not bringing my Wii with my to Taiwan, so no Brawl for two weeks  ) Edit: Wow, I used a lot of smileys...
  11. Ugh, I personally hated every Harry Potter (For the most part) after the third or fourth one. Before the last one came out, I hoped that it would be some surprising ending, that would end up making me like it, but come on...Wayyyyy too predictable. And it could have still been a happy ending... By the way, I basically finished the first four Ranger's Apprentice books. They were awesome. (Just a note though, I tend to find everything awesome) I could've sworn that there were more out in the US though...Anyway, that means I have to start the Sword of Truth. I have to go on two full-day trips, and in between there's two weeks in Taiwan (Plenty of reading time). So I might be able to finish two or three by the end of the summer.

I tend to have dreams a lot, most happen to be believable. As in, they involve people I know and places I know. I nearly always wake up in the middle of them though, so that tells me it was just a dream. However, if I'm sleeping in the dream, and I wake up in the dream as I wake up in real life, I can get a bit confused. Though recently, as I read a lot more (Fantasy), I get a few of those too. I can easily distinguish those as dreams though. And I can remember dreams for a day or two, but then I normally forget them.
  13. Civilization IV or Age of Empires 2/Age of Kings. Possibly the best historic-based strategy games ever.
  14. Oh wow...When I was like 5, I always wondered, "Why don't they just melt the ice caps on Mars so we can have water?" :? My first thought was the Sun turning into a red giant and a supernova (Uh...Or just plain nova?) occurs. But I strangely remember that if such a thing happens, it will only destroy everything up to Mars. Though there's the problem of a lack of a Sun...Hm... So I suppose if humans manage to live on Europa (And...Titan if I remember correctly), the Sun exploding would be the end. But I guess a meteor or war or something could also cause it. But my faith tells me it'll be the rapture.
  15. I go on short-term mission trips with my youth group. Some are as short as a few hours (Going to Boston Common, handing out sandwiches), some are as long as a week or two. Some of it is purely religious stuff, but there have also been times where I worked on construction projects and stuff. Never done it out of the country though.
  16. I used Metaknight for it. Sure, he's lighter, but not like it matters, one hit on either him or Ike is a KO nonetheless. And his recovery is way better, just in case. Though it's easier to screw up, I either did it too early or too late sometimes. With Ike, it's not as big a problem. I'm talking about using his Up-B if you haven't figured out...
  17. Hm? You can learn Elvish, Sindarin at least. There are guides and online lessons... (I know some vocabulary - Luin Ithil, for example - but I haven't had the free time to go learn all the grammar.) Anyway, you know what would be better than a show and tell presentation about Elvish? A show and tell presentation IN Elvish. :P (I would honestly do that if given the chance...) But yeah, whenever I really like a book, I kind of start...Role-playing one of the characters...Like when I read Eragon, I would mutter some spells or something once in a while. Of course, they didn't work...I was quite sad...
  18. Meh, mine destroyed everyone in Europe and mainland Asia. And most of Africa too. I missed the southeast islands though, and I somehow only managed to get Mexico and Brazil in the Americas. Time to try again, I guess. (I didn't bother with the tutorial, so I don't have a great idea of what I'm doing...Oh well...) Edit: Dang...Just managed to get my parasite everywhere but Argentina, then the vaccine came and I didn't have enough points to counter it. So from having a nearly completely red map, I went to nearly completely green one. Though I did manage to wipe out all of Australia.
  19. Usually ~7 hours on a school night, at least 9-10 during vacation. Though I slept 5 hours last night.
  20. Yes. I had the same thought. I was also reminded of Corrupted Blood. And I've played the first one, won a few times. Quite hard though...I'm about to give this a go.

My friend once told me that when he was in China (Everything is in China...), he had to pee in a bottle because there were no restrooms. I wonder what he did with the bottle... Though I travel quite a lot (Or at least I used to), I don't really have any especially interesting stories. I suppose I could share a ton of stories about my trips to Taiwan, but there are way too many. My Chinese has failed me a few times, but nothing major... So the only somewhat exciting thing I have to say is about the time I went to Singapore, when I was 2. We went to a beach, and I ate a bunch of sand. Still not very special... #-o

This is one of the reasons I dropped Pit, my friends got so mad at me for spamming. I told them that there was nothing else to do as Pit (Which is true...) but still...Glad I found Dedede though. I guess I Waddle Dee spam though. As for the tourney, I'll be gone for a few weeks, but you'll probably be able to finish one in the time I'm gone.
  23. Despite having to have considered myself a Nintendo fanboy in the past, I'm going to have to kind of agree with Shadow on this. In the past, I've always thought "Sony and Microsoft aren't doing anything new...Just more sequels and sequels...Nintendo on the other hand..." Well, so much for that. To be honest, nearly all decent, hardcore video games are sequels. The only relatively new thing I took from E3 was the MAG that Sony is doing. Otherwise, Microsoft, but mainly Nintendo are going off their successful franchises...Sure, I like Mario, sure I like Zelda...But there has to be a limit. Nintendo has to make something new, for hardcore gamers. I thought their point was to appeal to all people, but it seems like they're leaving hardcore gamers in the dark. On the other hand, I wouldn't mind if they made a new Mario or a new Zelda but with completely different gameplay. While a Mario RTS might not work, it would probably be better than a Super Mario Galaxy 2. A Zelda FPS (Shooting...Bows and boomerangs? And bombs instead of grenades?) would be better than an exact copy of Twilight Princess. To put it simply, Nintendo (And I guess Microsoft, maybe Sony) needs to try something new. Taken from the SSBB Dojo, there hasn't been a new, good Nintendo franchise created within the past few years. (Not an exact quote) The last was Pikmin. In like 2002. The past 6 years have just been sequels after sequels, and it's getting boring. Time to buy a PS3, I guess.
  24. ...And I thought I was cruel... I ought to try out some of these ideas sometime. They seem to be more my thing. Pulling a video game analogy, I wouldn't be a warrior, but rather a mage. Intelligence and screwing around with minds rather than strength and beating people to a pulp. And come to think of it, it wouldn't be too hard for me. I consider myself to be observant, and somehow happen to know a lot of things I shouldn't. Also...This is kind of off-topic, but I remember once I used e-mails to screw around with someone. I made a bunch of them, used names of teachers and stuff and sent him some official sounding mails. Don't know if he fell for it.
  25. I'm pretty sure it's Barq's. And yes, it is quite good. I rarely have A&W though, don't think there are any of the restaurants around here.
