  1. Its the point. People aren't supposed to make so much money off doing nothing like high alching yew bows all day. So running around to a nat altar and back is ok? Just like running to any second spawn? Rune rocks? Almost all money makers which doesn't involve killing something/someone take about the same skill, dedication, etc. I don't see why high alching yew longs is "supposed" to be so.
  2. You don't need roving elves. A rune c bow is better. O yea, forgot one thing. 75+ defence also is very helpful.
  3. For the cape, I'd advice at least 60 prayer (70 will make it a whole lot easier) just as 75 range and I advice to skip the guthan. Just range all the way with verac skirt and helm, karils top, rune c bow and DFS (> granite shield > dragon square). And don't expect many good from barrows either, it's a very unstable and slow money maker. Of course you could hit the jackpot (a guth spear) but changes are pretty slim.
  4. Are they worth that much now? No, GE is a bit off sometimes.
  5. I'm having mixed feelings about this update. You can't browse. It's pretty good besides that though, I've already sold quite a lot of junk items. :D
  6. Don't trust Zybez blindly. And a funny off topic picture:
  7. Yes please! This guide helped me sÃÆÃâÃâóÃÆÃâÃâóÃÆÃâÃâó much on my first steps to a pro cwers (even though I'm still noob compared to the real pro's). I'd love to see new tricks here. I also take this opportunity to thank you for this wonderful guide. It inspired me so much to find my own tricks and become as good as possible. I'd probably still be a lot noobier if I wouldn't have read this guide.
  8. Hmm... I got it from Chaeldar though which means I could. But if the Slayer Master at Burthope can assign it, which he can, you cannot change tasks. I get tasks from Duradel I can't Burthope even. You can burthope Kalphites though, so why not crawling hands?
  9. How would the Gold-Farmers sell their gold? It just wouldn't work.. Person who buys gold goes to GE: "Sell whip for 30 Mil". Gold seller buys the whip. VoilÃÆÃâÃâà, gold buyer got his money.
  10. No, the sword is slower and has a better str + att bonus. Whip + rune defender gives 101 slash attack and 87 str, SGS 132 slash and strength. This makes the godsword a very good high level monster killer (bosses, KQ, barrows, etc.). Only "normal" monsters (regular slayer tasks) they're about the same.
  11. I hope Jagex isn't setting our hopes too high, it wouldn't be the first time (*Cough* Barbarian outpost *cough*).
  12. Thanks for the tip! I never knew that.
  13. I've done this method a lot just for some fun and have some tips for it: If you can, get boots of lightness, spotted/spottier cape and barbarian gloves, so you weight less and can run longer, do wear the HAM equivalents when thieving though. Replace the hunter thieving gloves (forgot the name) for the HAM ones. Also get a few glories for quick tele to the hideout and other places. I also suggest to take high alch runes with you, you'll get a lot of alchable junk (loads of black items and air staffs).
  14. The Pest Control update was needed... It was extremely overpowered experience and was not even meant to replace normal combat for training. This update was absolutely unnecessary and extreme overkill. Let me play the devils advocate for a bit: Staking was extremely overpowered money making. It was multiple times better then many old fashion ways. And actually, if you were that good at it, it also replaced all the other moneymakers. Even worse, it dwarfed it.
  15. I have two (quite) off topic comments: First: I surely think all that killing on the schools and university will continue too if we ban guns. Just as all those gun accidents. But I understand this is a debate on its own and I won't discuss is any further. Second: Why does everyone here hate this change but didn't care about PC change? It's about the same IMO, they did something the majority didn't want and it ruined a good way of training for a lot of people.
  16. Thanks, I've killed some more (about 20) and I got one now.
  17. Get a crystal bow. It gives better xp/hour and is cheaper after you've repaired it 5 times. I don't know about killing high level monsters, but I'd suggest a rune c bow for that anyway.
  18. There is no good place for barrows. You only need a karyll portal, the place doesn't matter anything.
  19. I'm trying to receive my armadyl pendant again for GWD, but I can't get it. I helped Lucien and now I've killed a few guardians but they don't drop the pendant. Does anyone know what's wrong and how I can get one?
  20. There you go, staking isn't "owned". Can you choose what to stake? No. Can you just easily stake 1 vs 1? No. Can you choose who to stake against? No. Don't tell me you don't know the difference between a tournament and a match.
  21. Can I ask you a (big) favour. Could you help teach me how to kill certain GWD bosses (doesn't really matter which) and could we kill it together? I've always wanted to kill some bosses since it came out, but I don't have any good friends to go with. I don't have much experience with high level monsters (besides barrows), so I may suck a bit.
  22. Very interesting poll. The most interesting in ages IMO, good job!
