  1. Wrong, many of us are fans of these minigames. I would say the people that afk are the "stupid" ones because Jagex is not forcing them into playing these minigames. I do not understand why anyone would afk an activity they do not enjoy. Why not go and do something else...
  2. From my experience playing minigames, loafers were never really much of a problem. Most of these players were often inexperienced at these minigames and hence did not have much to contribute anyway. I remember playing a whole lot of games at the Great Orb Project and loafers were actually considered to be a blessing. This was because most inexperienced players often tended to hurt a team's score rather than actually contribute towards it. I think that even if these players were actively contributing, they would not make much of a difference. Besides I would rather have a loafer on my team than a level 60 in rune who grabs the flag and ends up dying outside the castle. If you do have problems with loafers, then I suggest you get you skill up in the game because a single experienced player can sway the outcome of the minigame much more than if all these loafers attempted to contribute.
  3. 129-130-741-62750608 I saw the second article on RSOF, I did not find the author's evidence sufficient to prove his claims. The author goes into more depth about it on RSOF, so if you truly enjoyed the article then you can check out the original.
  4. I am sorry but you truly do not understand how profitable botting truly is. People do not just run one bot but they run multiple bots. The one odd bot is capable of producing hardly anything but a whole army of them? I think you are underestimating the botters. And besides when you use these sites to RWT, you are indirectly contributing to their success. Like i said before, they have every right to go ahead and sell their money but that doesn't mean the rest of the players who still intend on playing the game should not hate them for fueling RWT. That was the only point I was trying to make. I came back after a long time to play in the f2p version of the game. i decided to train my mining a little near three rock iron spawn in dwarven mines. Unfortunately, due to my location it is tough to find the spot unoccupied on a low ping world. I found an empty world but with a high ping, the bot there became increasingly annoying because I had to make sure that I click as soon as the ore respawned or get beaten by the bot. I do not mind competing with players for resources but bots? This is indeed ruinous to my experience in the game. PEOPLE ARE GETTING MOAR XPs THEN ME! I GET MAD AND JEALOUS AT PEOPLE GETTING AHEAD OF ME AND RUINING THE SATISFACTION OF MY OOBER FLETCH CAPE! Yup. Dat caps lock. If this post was directed at me, I do not care whether some random player is getting ahead of me in the game by botting. I play the game because I like to play the game, and these bots limit me from doing certain activities that I would like to do in the game. Sure there are people like the ones you speak of, but there are also people like me who cannot perform certain activities in game because they are infested with bots. Besides it is not the main accounts botting which are the problem, it is the entire army of low level bots created for the sole purpose of generating GP to be used in RWT.
  5. It isn't illegal, it is just against the rules of a GAME. There is no law applied to it (unless you don't pay taxes on income... :shame: Tisk Tisk) . I guess you could say "ohh you are selling copyrighted material" or "RSGP gets people addicted to a game so its a drug" or some other bull. To those making a living or making extra spending money off of a video game then more power to you, to those of you that are hating on people making money off being smart... get over it. Jagex doesn't care anymore (if they ever did). If you don't like it, don't do it, but don't put other people down because they do something. Like someone said earlier about smoking. If you don't like smoking then don't do it, but if you do, then do. peace, Vann Why shouldnt people hate on the ones making money off this game by this botting spree. I am sorry but I still wish to play this game and these bots are essentially ruining it for me. If there are indeed making money, then good for them but we reserve the right to hate on the people who are driving this game into the ground. I votes "yes" on bringing the free trade and wilderness back but I did not expect things to get so out of hand. I hope that Jagex realizes what a blunder this was and reverts the game back to the more restricted version. And I ask the people who voted "yes", is this really worth it. Botting is so out of control, it will spell the end of this game.
  6. What exactly do pures say to you? Because it's common [bleep]ing sense. It's like saying 999 out of every 1000 real-life soldiers are [bleep]-heads compared to civilians because they fight others for a living. That's what you're trying to say. Since I PK, I must automatically be a douchebag, while all PvMers are pious, holy virgin monks. You're overgeneralizing. My theory is you met one or two bad pures when you were a low level, and think all of them are bad, which simply isn't the case. I am sorry but your theory is wrong, many of us have been playing for 5+ years, it is not as if pures are all together a rare species. We have all met our fair share of them, and we would not dislike them based solely on hearsay. I do not agree with judging people on their in game stats but I do tend to avoid all pures in the game, simply because of my previous experiences. I wont disagree that there are a fair share of "bad apples" in players that PVM as well. By this I mean people who crash just because they can, people who intentionally attempt to sabotage another person's trip. But the problem with pures is that you meet so many of these "bad apples" that eventually you begin to go out of your way to avoid them all. You asked me what they say to me, it would be hard to describe 5 years of experiences with immature pures in one post  I think you should stop trying to defend pures, and rather focus on the positive value that you bring to the game. Frankly most of runescape is filled with immaturity, and that includes Pkers, PVMers and even skillers. There are idiots in every group, all we can do is to try to be the best we can be.
  7. My experiences with pures has always been fairly bad, I do not pk often but the pures that I do occasionally meet tend to be biggest douchebags (and even that is an understatement). I am sorry but I will continue to dislike pures, because I have hardly met pures who had the maturity level higher than a 10 year old. And no this has nothing to do with being killed by a pure.
  8. Honestly I truly do not get comments such as the above. Why in the world would you possibly care how some player in the game spends his time. He may even have a more fulfilled and accomplished life than you do.
  9. Too bad they ruined the entire minigame for me when Runetek (5 was it?) came out. I tried playing after that but something never felt right. Btw pin do you still play?
  10. So is it safe to assume that no one has the cape yet? I am staring at the 5000 games of Castle Wars, this is a completely insane requirement. Good luck to whoever plans on attempting to get this cape.
  11. When has Jagex ever striven to live up to their word? I am sure none of us expected this but honestly how many of us are actually surprised by today's events? I have gotten over it already, because from what I know from previous events Jagex will never change. If we are lucky we might see an apology but I find it highly unlikely that these capes will ever see the f2p game.
  12. I cannot believe that Jagex misled f2p players into believing that the veteran capes were f2p, this is very disheartening. On a more cheerful not: Hiya Pin!
  13. Anything other than using your gilded altar is not worth doing, and I was able to do around 1k dragon bones at a gilded altar with a tortoise.
  14. Might be your attitude. I wouldn't want to play with you, either. Might be.. But I don't normally talk like that, it's just the way I'm getting more and more fed up with the current elitism. (I really despise people who're overly proud of their stats and are showing off). People who I did dungeoneer with often say I wasn't really bad (I easily adept to other playstyles). Problem is I rather have people not waste an friend list spot on me: I'll only be on very rarely so I'm not a good friend. Which is another difference in runescape: some time ago runescape was played a lot by "casual players". People who only play (as the name suggests) casually (considered less than an hour a day) to have a relaxing time. I'm missing that group of players nowadays! People have the right to choose who they want on their teams, its the way it is. Try to make your own teams, it isnt hard to find players and you will probably find players around your levels and hopefully people who share your attitude.
  15. Finish all the quests that you can finish to get herb experience. Use lamps from achievement diaries etc. Eadgur's Ruse gives 11k Herblore experience as well as a pretty useful teleport. Then if you are still short, look into cleaning herbs.
  16. Dueling Rings are free to use, bank them when they are on their last charge, then sell them on the ge.
  17. Vuvuzela's suck and so does soccer. Every time I even try to give the sport a chance I am bored by games like the final of the World Cup this year. Seriously is that what passes as entertainment out in the East?
  18. First off thank you so much for responding. I do not really mind if I don't reach 96, as there are always stews to help me out. What I do want to do is the get the best out of my money. So should I just proceed with making extremes and then make overloads later. If so does anyone know with my budget how many of each extreme potion should I make.
  19. I am trying to achieve 96 herblore from level 86 right now but I have no idea how do I actually go forth training this skill efficiently. I already have Mirionic's spreadsheets open but I have no idea how I go about doing this. Right now I have approximately 200m to work with + I can throw in my claws as well (but I would rather keep them). My question is where do I start? Every time I look at a good training method it seems that some item is unbuyable on the exchange. I don't mind using up all of my money but I am hoping to get my money's worth. I plan on making overloads later, should that affect my training method? Again 200m is my budget, so please do not suggest a method that is way out of this price range.
  20. Its still a long run from the ladder all the way to cart guy.
  21. I honestly don't see the fuss with prayer, turmoil is just marginally better than piety and you wont use soul split much at bosses if at all. Meanwhile overloads provide you with the ability to camp a monster for as long as you have them because you can use brews without draining your stats. I wish I had a yak though as that seems to beat both overloads and turmoil.
  22. Sorry but that is just stupid, part of being in a team is that you need to work and try to manage everyone's ego. Just because you don't like someone does not mean you cannot suck it up and finish the dungeon you are in. If you dislike them that much, finish the dungeon, and then quit the team after that. Trying to intentionally ruin someone's playing experience just because you did not get your way is very childish.

Should stop crashing soon enough, it is a very highly rated tool for slayer. I don't think it is worth buying for just TDS alone though.
  24. The horn gives you 2x the experience even if it isn't wielded and in your inventory. So you cannot use it for the last obstacle and then take it off.
  25. I agree wholeheartedly with the second article. Most of the friends I have are from f2p because like Juhniz said, the content is less in f2p. While in p2p there is so much to do, and everyone is always striving towards attaining something. You rarely see someone step back and actually start a conversation with the person beside them. I personally cannot even remember the time when someone actually spoke a few words with me training slayer in Kuradal's Dungeon.
