A revolution for herblore?

Featured Replies

I guess most of us here have noticed the new potion in our herblore tab called "Sanfew Serum Cure all" which is a super restore potion that cures disease and poison, with the last ingredient, so called "nails" being a uncommon ingredient in our new temple trekking minigame, a all in one package. Since Jagex has started to release such potions, would there be a new trend of potions for herblore coming out that involves like many pots in one package with probably a last rare ingredient to finish it up?

Thoughts?

Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

this is the second "combo" potion, the first being guthix balance. hopefully, somehting like a super restore / agility / energy thing wuld be great

Back by popular demand!

And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all.

I made 59 of these serums and for some reason 50% of the serums i made were 4 dosed and other 50% 3 dosed :|. I think it's pretty odd :-k

Actually, the Guthix Balance potion has no real use apart from Vampyre slaying.

I just got a Nail Beast encounter, they appear to be a wolf of some kind, though they don't hit very hard(95 defence might just be the cause.)

But really, when will you need a Stat Restore, AntiPoison AND Relicyms Balm in one shot?

Dk's would only use 2/3 of the potions potential, but the antipoison effect should be only relative to the normal(fluro green) ones. The balm and the restore would have an effect that would help, but no-one really goes to Zogres.

This potion would be ok for DK's and thats it though...

I agree with Raven, who would need a stat restone, an antipoison and a relicyms balm at the same time? No one, it just doesn't happen. Relicyms balm is only when u do Zogres quest, and the odds of needing an antipoison and an antipoison at the same time is tinyyyy

third, actually...there was the combat potion when hunter came out...this seems to be happening more frequently, because herblore really isn't seeing much things new except for new potions that boost skills...we need another way of raising herb besides just potions imo.

dalcyte, like what do you think? it would be really weird to get better in making potions than just doing it, one of the skills that there makes it weird... maybe a herblore mini-game where you get xp rewards, but really, that would just bring up the prices on pots if it were better xp, and no-one would play if it was worst :-s

This also might be an update for the new slayer monster they talked about in the updates. Or just a new thing all together. Something that poisons and diseases you.

that one was actually interesting, as you would use all of it then, maybe a new zogre quest to reach the new monster??

I don't think so, word about this pot has not spread far yet until there is demand for it...

The combat potion was the start of this new herblore revolution IMO

null and void

Herlore is very useful but so slow to train.

The combat porion is very useful. Adds to attack and strength but only takes up one inventory spot. I love it for a boost with little cost. A super combat potion would be nice somewhere around lvl 70.

They also need something between Prayer (lvl 38) and Super Attack (lvl 44) besides that lame stuff for salamanders. 6 levels of nada is a lot of potions making for no real ability gain.

Also identify having a 10 level gap between 30 and 40 is tough. Again.. 10 levels and you get no more ability? It really makes those mid levels boring. Soemting new in this range would help.

Yes, slayer needs some more stuff too. What 's really at the top end? Only two monsters over level 85. Good drops on them though...

Slayer is nice since you get to train combat/magic/range at the same time you level up slayer. More variety would be nice.

this is the second "combo" potion, the first being guthix balance. hopefully, somehting like a super restore / agility / energy thing wuld be great

Not to forget the combat potion!

What next combo potion will come next?

but dont some of the above have drawbacks?

In before hunter + fishing + anti dragonfire potion 8)

I'm waiting for a new tzhaar style city that buys pots for a set amount of currency [something]. Then, you can use that currency [something] to buy like dragon boots or something. (Similar to onyx)

I don't really count some of those potions you have mentioned since they actually have drawbacks. Anyway, what does guthix rest pot do other than acting as a stat restore? Additional effects only involve killing juvinates...

You can get the nails pretty easily by going on Route 1. You can evade everything, and there are usually 5-6 weaker nail beasts for each event, as opposed to the 3 strong ones on Route 3. If you have low defence, there are a bunch of safe spots that you can halberd or range over.

Nah, jagex should keep with the pattern and only let slayer monsters drop the metal boots. A new slayer monster that reqs 95 slayer =D
