Massive increase in players training agility?

Ok currently i was "agilitising" to get as high lvl agility lvl as possible before i lose members. Nowadays, every world i went to during peak hours i would usually see 2 other monkeys around with me at ape atoll. I also noticed increase in goal sigs for agility. Where like 2 months ago, when i hit 70 agility, ape atoll course was like a ghost town. So what exactly happened that gave rise to such popularity about training agility nowadays?

Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

ive got noob agility(38) but i would guess its so they can do that new agility course under lumby, in the dorgushuen caves.

my best guess.

Say what you mean and mean what you say because those that matter don't mind, and those that mind don't matter.

Hmm weren't agility said to be sooooo "boring" and running around in circles is so pointless that using super energies are more worth it than spending that time? How did those people straighten out their thinking? Anyway, I still don't think 52k/hr exp is fast though.

Possibly people are thinking that they may need the agility requirement for the doregushen (sp?) course, for a new quest that will come out there.

Therefore are training early?

I'm not sure, there's my guess. :-k

1. Maybe you went a different hours, more or less people playing.

2. People actually found out Agility is useful.

3. They saw Wakka do it. :P

+1

There was the 'message of the week' about agility last week? And Jagex just brought out two new courses (penguin and goblin), where the goblin course needed extra testing and comparing to ape atoll (penguing course was shortly forgotten?)

I was training agility too after the goblin course came out. Hopefully agility becomes more popular :P

Agreed... some say it's an easy cape... 52k exp per hour is not easy.

The Penguin course is out in the middle of nowhere, meanwhile the Dorgesh-Kaan course is a short walk from Lumbridge and even reachable via the Fairy Rings.

When I was going through the Penguin course for "Cold War", I found it was very non-intuitive. Maybe it's just me.

I have to agree their has been an increase in the amount of players "agilitising", but to say's its massive its probably exaggerating.

Maybe its down to people picking up on jagex's recent hints and improvements in agility, and by improvements i mean the new courses.

Or people could be expecting the release of ME3 on the horizon and are simply training to get ahead of the game.

yes, not to mention, 52k an hour is max, its not very easy to get 52k exp an hour.

it takes around 250 hours from level 55 to get to 99 agility.

try getting 52K xp / hr in mining or rcing or even slayer and then get back here ::'

And I have no clue why people didn't train agility before, I have always found it an incredibly useful skill, even though I'm more of a pker I found it useful that no prey would be able to outrun me if I ever went back to f2p pking :P and it's even useful in p2p pking but u don't really need it there if you just barrage ::'

apart from pking it's useful everywhere to do every other skill, that requires any movement at all, faster :)

Mining is about 43k/hour, not that far off. Max rc exp is double nat crafting with runners, about 56k/hr, thats faster :ohnoes:

Double nats is not double xp... Max rc xp is about 25k at FFL I think.

A lot of people have just hit the "fase" in the game where they want to level their skills to a moderately high level, and 70 agility is amongst the first on their list because it's so handy. I'm still in the top 10k agilityers with my 72 so I doubt a lot of people will go past 70 (or 71).

Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks.

No i did not say you get 18exp from per ess you craft with double nats. I meant using runners, because it is so popular you don't to wait for runners to trade you, but instead they wait for their turn to trade you. One more thing, FFL is not the 2nd fastest exp in the game, not even 3rd. I have done my homework about rc

I honestly think it is because the knowledge of the ape course is spreading to the general public of Runescape. Not everyone knows about how good the ape course is, especially after 75 agility. Now that more and more people are joining forums and seeings posts of training agility at ape atoll, more and more people are going to do the course.
