Star_Fox
one time i was going to host a drop party, before that a lvl 46 was standing there when i aked him if he wanted to come. he said itll be great since he just got hacked, after while i got to a very crowded world and hosted a party. the lvl 46 got nothing, and he started to leave and typed "goodbye runescape", when i soon realized that he felt terrible to fail his chance at getting back his items. i quickly tried to grab his attention and i wanted to become friends with him to recover from his loss. i gave him 200k and a advice to collect unids and sell them. so he started doing that and while later he had already 600k! and advanced above 50 combat. i thought to myself that he couldnt have acheived this if i hadnt given him this advice and my time. i felt really proud of myself that i saved someone from leaving this game and what i did to save his motivation. anyways this happened recently about yesterday, and so i thought of a great topic to support this. :)
Moonshadow
I haven't saved anyone from quitting because I haven't met anyone who was really on the verge of quitting.

unkn0wnwarrior
I convinced 3 people to stay just by continuing to play. The day I quit is the day they quit. They had better strap themselves in for a long ride, cause it will be a while till I quit.
Adam007
I've done it a few times. Generally you're just prolonging the inevitable by doing that, because if they're that close to quitting anyway, they're bound to get bored a few days after even after you spent an hour persuading them to stay. Same for me but If I ever meet someone I'll help him. Maybe i did one time, giving 100k to a person that had been hacked...

Same. When people are determined to quit, people will quit sooner or slightly later. Yeah...Some people just go out of their way to ruin other peoples fun.Sounds like Jagex to me... Duke_Freedom
Don't you know how evil it is to prevent people from quiting this game by 'saving' them from quiting...? :( The value of my bank at its height. Estimated value at the peak of the rares market: 250 billion+.Most likely the largest trade in RuneScape ever. Estimated value at the peak of the rares market: 70 billion+. Residua
I've never had the opportunity to save someone. If I had the opportunity to stop someone, I wouldn't. If they want to quit, it's for a reason - i don't want to put them against it. It's their choice in the end, even if it may be your best friend. :(

Dalcyte
Save? You make it out to be like a salvation from the horrors of the real world. well, i guess the only other word would be prevent..but it's just a word that fits there...i don't think it had any negative conotation for the real world. Anyway, i've given people support to not quit, and i've told a lot of people to just keep trying to make money...don't know what's become of most of them though Click for mah Blog!- I'm not sure why you would though because i never update it Achieved 99 Thieving 3/10/07-992nd to it
sparticus348
The problem with helping some people, is that they pretend they are hacked, but they are actually begging. As for your question, no actually, but several people have helped me stay Break

unkn0wnwarrior
The problem with helping some people, is that they pretend they are hacked, but they are actually begging. That is true, which is why I don't help out with items, just words of encouragement, or occasionally challenging their pride. It works sometimes, fails other times.

spikerkid
I've saved someone from killing there selves that played runescape. So I guess that's the same because if they killed them selves they wouldn't be playing. Quit RuneScape :)
