ever saved someone from quitting

Featured Replies

one time i was going to host a drop party, before that a lvl 46 was standing there when i aked him if he wanted to come. he said itll be great since he just got hacked, after while i got to a very crowded world and hosted a party. the lvl 46 got nothing, and he started to leave and typed "goodbye runescape", when i soon realized that he felt terrible to fail his chance at getting back his items. i quickly tried to grab his attention and i wanted to become friends with him to recover from his loss. i gave him 200k and a advice to collect unids and sell them. so he started doing that and while later he had already 600k! and advanced above 50 combat. i thought to myself that he couldnt have acheived this if i hadnt given him this advice and my time. i felt really proud of myself that i saved someone from leaving this game and what i did to save his motivation.

anyways this happened recently about yesterday, and so i thought of a great topic to support this. :)

I haven't saved anyone from quitting because I haven't met anyone who was really on the verge of quitting.

Told my brother to make a skiller. He's been on it for awhile now. He was gonna quit his main.

Happy to find I'm not the only one who eats glass.

I convinced 3 people to stay just by continuing to play. The day I quit is the day they quit. They had better strap themselves in for a long ride, cause it will be a while till I quit.

I've done it a few times. Generally you're just prolonging the inevitable by doing that, because if they're that close to quitting anyway, they're bound to get bored a few days after even after you spent an hour persuading them to stay.

Same for me but If I ever meet someone I'll help him.

Maybe i did one time, giving 100k to a person that had been hacked...

My best friend on Runescape announced that he was quitting yesterday on my clan's forums...I wish someone would find a way to get him to reverse his decision....

Pretty much what Dragon said.

Thread terminated.

I guess that means I'm the thread Terminator?

No Tip.Iters were harmed in the making of this post.

Same. When people are determined to quit, people will quit sooner or slightly later.

Yeah...Some people just go out of their way to ruin other peoples fun.
Sounds like Jagex to me...

No, I have never saved someone actually. And I'm quite happy I have never needed to do that :).

Not really, cuz I "quit" but came back the next day and decieded to work my butt off for that 2.2mil I lost.

Runescape is addiciting lol :ohnoes:

My friend "saved" me but then got hack and lost some of the items I gave him

I have never saved anyone because their all get mad then start cussing and then log before I can consult them

My best friend on RS has quit many times, i didn't stop him from quitting i just got him back to RS soon after.

He's currently playing by the way.

Currently not active on RuneScape.

I've never had the opportunity to save someone.

If I had the opportunity to stop someone, I wouldn't. If they want to quit, it's for a reason - i don't want to put them against it.

It's their choice in the end, even if it may be your best friend. :(

Save? You make it out to be like a salvation from the horrors of the real world.

well, i guess the only other word would be prevent..but it's just a word that fits there...i don't think it had any negative conotation for the real world.

Anyway, i've given people support to not quit, and i've told a lot of people to just keep trying to make money...don't know what's become of most of them though

The problem with helping some people, is that they pretend they are hacked, but they are actually begging.

As for your question, no actually, but several people have helped me stay <3:

That is true, which is why I don't help out with items, just words of encouragement, or occasionally challenging their pride. It works sometimes, fails other times.

I actually have. Not by giving them money or items, but by giving them advice.

I've saved someone from killing there selves that played runescape. So I guess that's the same because if they killed them selves they wouldn't be playing.

Quit RuneScape :)

w.e, the less ppl, the less money circulating ingame, and also the cheaper rares are

id encourage ppl to quit
