Is the lumberjack outfit worth the trouble?

the lumberjack outfit seems a really good idea to me. i mean many people enjoy levelling woodcutting, it has many benifits and is very easy, more experience per log is more then welcome in my books.

the full suit gives a bonus 2.5 xp for every 100 xp you get in woodcutting, thats an extra 2.5% per log cut, very good amount in my opinion, and the suit is a must for anyone over lv 75, the only problem is it's hassle to get.

for every 1,000,000 (1 million) xp gained, the suit will grant you 25,000 xp more then if you werent wearing it, totalling 1,025,000 xp, is this enough extra xp to spend a day or more trying to get the suit?

if you wear the suit all of the time between starting woodcut at lev 1 and maxing it at level 99 (13,000,000 xp), you would save time totaling 325,000 xp. for hardcore players this amount can be gotten in a day or two... so, i ask you, is it worth playing the minigame for the suit? do you get it just because you look good in it? phr33 st0ff pl0x? cheese? carbon granules?

ive gotten the hat and boots so far... ill prolly go all the way... just bringing it into perspective for yas :D

If you were going for 99 wcutting then yes, probably. But in the short term its not worth it.

It's only worth it in a long run. If you don't seriously plan on doing hardcore (multimillion xp) woodcutting, you can pretty much forget the suit.

If you plan to use it to get 99 wc, I would reccomend not wasting the time to get the full set.

i personally find the mini game boring and confusing :XD: so i just don't do it lol

It is worth it most definitely if you are going to be woodcutting for any length of time

It's only worth it if you're planning to get multimillion xp. Why? Because the time you use hunting the suit is away from time you could be doing woodcutting. For few thousand logs it would be faster to cut them without the suit than first get it and then cut.

I think the upgrade should either be higher, or easier to get.

It's hard enough right now that its not really worth it at all. If it takes a day or two, then the 300k it saves to get 99 (if you are wc level 1) would have been made up.

However, if you are going for 200k xp or something like THAT, then its well worth it... you'll save tons more xp.

I think they look pretty cool, and the exp is sort of a bonus. I'd say it's worth it if you're going for 99 wcing or 200m exp or something. I'll probably get one eventually but I'm way too lazy right now.

Dragon Drops: D spear x 2, D skirt, D half-shield, D axe, D 2h

Barrows Rewards: Ahrims hood, Karil's Coif, half key x 6, D med, torags legs, veracs flail

The time needed to get lumberjack far outstrips the time you would save using it to cut. The minigame is inconvenient and boring; better to skip it.

I Think It Would Be Worth It If U Going For 99

fulldragsigcopydh25.jpg

I thought it was worth it as just something to wear around; I use it while farming :P. I didn't even know about the woodcutting benefits ::' . It's definitely worth the trouble.

I think it depends if you get bored on the way to 99 WC then you may aswell take a day out to get it...

If you are wcing alot and want a high rank, yeah it is probably worth it...

How do u get it neways??

sigbv9.jpg

I'd say no - the time it takes to get it is much longer than the time it would save you. Even for 99 wc, the 325k xp could probably be achieved more quickly just by woodcutting, instead of doing the minigame, more quickly. Of course, if you're going for 200M xp, then it's probably worth it, but then I doubt my opinion will reach many people going for maxed woodcutting...

Either:

Look great and chop 2 days longer then with the (ugly) suit on. I know how bad people want to look good while skilling.

Or:

Look.. like a lumberjack.. ''He is a lumberjack and he is OK!'' (!?) and spend 2 days longer on getting the suit. I know how bad people want to play the minigame.

Your choice :-k ::'

Only reason I see to get the costume: Costume room in your house :?

The additional exp is even in the long run very small if and you should waste more time on getting the costume then that you save time with getting additional exp

No, it's not. The suit is ugly and not worth the trouble. Might as well spend an extra day woodcutting...

How come u never hear about people fighting ghasts for prayer xp? They give 80xp (which is better than most bones) and u no clickin involved to bury bones. U can load up your druid pouch at Nature grotto and fight them til the cows come home. Also u can get the occasional blue snelm that people need for clue scrolls. (sold one for 15k one time)

Just thought I would ask the viewers since Ive been doin alot of temple trekkin lately.

It's worth it. It's just a one-time deal that gives a slight xp boost, but once you get it, its never any trouble again.

By the way, the exact lumberjack clothes you have in the picture at the beginning of the thread are owned by me (I took the picture for tip it) :D
