tbh... the weapon is not good at cw, dueling or anything like that...

 

 

 

it seems like the special does drain prayer (the same as hitted) over to you... interesting idea about using it before going on pking or something... if you hit a 13, then you would have quite much more pray to continue on..

 

 

 

but during any pking, it would not work.. as the weapon itself is so bad that the special won't work really good...

Do you know what the max boost is? And does it drain like HP does if you brew past 99?

The new mace is pretty good, it will be great in CW and dueling and stuff.

 

 

 

If it gives you prayer from NPC's (say you hit a 15 you get 15 prayer on a fire giant) then this would be better for training.

 

 

 

Nah D mace still owns for prayer boost

does that mean with the new mace u can get like 200/60 prayer? ( good for fight caves or barrows :)

It doesn't drain, i've had my prayer boosted since I completed the quest and it hasn't dropped at all.

W00t +16 crush attack and +14 strenght bonus! That's incredible useless for cw (only pking I do), I'll hardly ever hit with it on high level players.

that option to hide certain text automatically so that you have to click to view it is like 2-3months old... your from 2006. so youve seen a topic on a quest before they had that feature.

 

 

 

god does any1 get realistic any more? lets go complain about stuff that wont ruin my life or at all even ruin my day for the slightest time. you knew this quest had some garbage reward. its obvious even the best quests do...

a little bit of info on the ancient mace spec :D

 

i managed to get my prayer up to 75/62 then it wouldnt go higher (note i got this from multiple uses of the spec attack, 3 i think)

 

 

 

so it would appear that it increases prayer points to +13 or 20% (rounded up)

 

 

 

now we need other peoples results to verify it

 

 

 

EDIT: just did a few more specs and found that prayer drain is random, and not based on how high you hit, i hit a 2 and drained 9 prayer to me, but if you hit 0 it drains 0

lol your not wrong there, the first thing i thought when i saw my boosted pray was "OMG, i can get infinite pray :-$ " but it was not to be :wall:

It doesn't drain, i've had my prayer boosted since I completed the quest and it hasn't dropped at all.

 

Wow, that could save a p pot or two in barrows, Home tele, pray at alter, special on training block/dummy, canifis tele and barrows with a fair prayer boost.

Could become handy for barrow trips. Just find some monster outside the tunnels, and spec away. Free prayer restore (or extra prayer).

Actually, the max you can boost your prayer with, is the max amount of damage dealt with the special attack of the acient mace.

 

 

 

For instance, you use the special attack and hit a 10. Your prayer lvl is 60. Your prayer lvl will be boosted to 70.

 

 

 

Without using up prayer, you do the special again and hit a 7, your prayer will still be 70/60.

 

 

 

You use the special again later, still not having used up any prayer, and you hit a 13. Your prayer lvl is now 73/60.

 

 

 

 

 

If the 13 is your max hit with the mace, then there is no way to boost your prayer any further than 73/60.

It went 105/92 for me so the max you can get is +13. I hitted 15 and it didn't go any higher after 2nd special either.
