Well, Its hard to say. I did many quests in RS classic (every available quest except legends quest), and I cant really compare those experiences with the experiences I have from RS2 questing.

From the rs2 quests I have completed, (Only two quests I have yet to finish) the hardest one for me was "The Fremennik Isles".

Why?

Unlike Mourning's ends part 2, and those a like I was not warned by my friends or from Jagex that the quest was supposed to be hard. I walked in with my skilling outfit and expecting nothing but a walkover quest, as usual. However, it turned out you actually had to semi-gear up.

So yeah, I have to go with that quest, it was challenging since I was not ready for it.

Some people dream of success, while others make it happen.

There were frustrating times in MEP2, especially when I didn't have a high enough Agility level to move across the pit to get to the Blue room. I fell to the lower level often and I decided to train my Agility up a bit and give it another try. It was a good thing I decided to train my Agility too, or else I would have wasted a lot of Agility potions.

I was worried about the fight with the Giant Scarab, but after a decent amount of research (and bringing along a friend), I managed to kill the Giant Scarab with Fire Bolts.

Desert Treasure was also a worrier for me. I spent a lot of time preparing myself for the various fights such as making Tuna potatoes and Prayer potions. Fortunately with my forethought, I arrived at each battle properly prepared.

Recipe for Disaster was the latest quest that I completed. The first four Boss monsters were managable and I used the same strategies that I used to fight their other-quest-counterparts: Agrith-Naar, Fareed, Kamil, Dessous. The Gelatinnoth Mother was a worrier for me. I was worried that I would not be switching quickly enough between magic and melee (oops, left out range :? ). Fortunately, I was successful.

The Culinaromancer was, um, ok. Fortunately, my Lunar clothes/Helm of Neitiznot/Anti-dragonfire defence combination provided sufficient magic defence and didn't hinder my melee attack bonuses to whack him to bread crumbs.

Oh, can't forget about Underground Pass. Even thoroughly reading the quest guide, my hands were sweating and my heart was pumping! Why? Well for those who's been through the Pass, you'll all agree that there's very few opportunities for you to replenish your food supply, unless you're lucky enough to have the Bones-to-Peaches spell. The amount of supplies that you had to take with you was equally frustrating because it was like packing for a wilderness (real-life type) survival expedition and if you forgot anything, you'd have to go through the entire Pass again. :(

Hardest for me was easily MEP2, I don't even want to think about how long those hand holds took me. Other then that I absolutely hate one small favor probably more annoying then MEP2 for me.

Underground Pass for me. I did it in Classic and RS2 (Two accounts). Much harder on Classic since I was doing it at a low level, with just barely the right agility level. The ledges I always fell, and I seriously was sweating when I was in the last room, clicking food like mad. Most of all, the spider in Classic... I was SOOOO scared of the spider, it was the creepiest thing I've ever seen in the game.

I had heard about the me2 being a hard quest (around the time it came out) because of the infamous hand holds. Eventually, I got to the terrible obstacle, I drank my agility potion and I graped on hoping that I wouldn't fall. Then I found myself on the first floor thinking "Looks like I'll be at this all day..." And now was just the beginning. So I get back to the obstacle and I go for it again then back on the fir.... wait what!? I made it across! Was this perhaps too easy? was there some kind of trick? Or is it the fact that 67 agility worked ok when 70 agility is recommended? It makes me wonder.

That's why I cannot say me2 was the hardest quest, at all. It was a fun puzzle, a hard quest but not the hardest. RFD wins easily because the boss monsters surpass those of DT. It was quite a challenge, I guess I was the perfect level to take them on and have an enjoyable fight when I didn't know if I would win or not (for some, I heard, it was no problem but they are way stronger than I was at the time). I think I was about 85 combat? Anyways, it was hard but it was very, very fun indeed

In the end there are different challenges which will appear harder for different people. The series of boss monsters was the hardest for be, because at the time I was not very strong in combat, while others had no difficulty. Some people found the agility trap because they have weak skills in this case agility while I did it with no difficulty.

MEP2 was worst for me for pure frustrations of the blue door and hand holds. Not even summer pies helped me get across without falling. I had my agility above 60 and still it gave me the Regicide/Underground Pass flashbacks (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).

2nd Place has got to got to be Rat Catcher mansion for repitivity and frustration.

Mournings end was scarily easy for me :-s only failed once on the whole thing and the puzzles went easy as pie.

Rat catchers on the other made me tear my hair out in frustration and throw a clock at my brother  .

I would say devious minds because you need 65 smithing which, for me, is a high level as I hate smithing.

DESERT TREASURE!!

Now, I've not done MEP2, but I doubt it will be harder then DT.

I stocked up on sharks and everything for DT. Ended up to be quite the easy quest for me. Still, I have to do MEP2. But since I have gotten 65 and 66 RC in the last 2 weeks. This quest is on my list of what to does for the following 3 months or so \' I plan on getting 1k agility tickets to get my agility up from level 57 where it is now to a reasonable level for MEP2.

As far as I have done quests, 194 qp, I found no quest really hard. Underground pass only took a while, but I occasionaly had to drop food left/right because I just had to many. Regicide, easy as pie. RFD.. simple, mostly amuzing, that for sure. DT, not that hard. Hm, can't say Swan Song was hard. Fun ;) but easy.

No, the hardest quest I have yet to do. But hopefully, I'll be up for the task.

For me it was Mourning ends 2, I had like 56 agility and had to bank once or twice to get more food, prayer and agility pots. I also messed up 1 or 2 times going across the handholds for nothing once...

Quest cape obtained at combat level 83, march 07.
