Featured Replies

i tried this before and if you ahve that the fairy rings still work try yourself =p

Im taking a break atm, but im doing "manage thy kingdom"

Once you run out of membership, you'll be sent back to lumby...

I personally have a decent amount of self-control so I get my stuff done.

Just start mining and you'll be bored and quit and then go outside and play something you enjoy :)

This makes me ask a questions I've been wondering about:

If you are in a members area and log in to a free world, what happens? Does it just not let you or does it put you in your respawn point?

You can't log in :|. There's a message when you try to log in.

But that's a smart thing to do if you're desperate to quit :P

you spawn in lubbby

Once you run out of membership, you'll be sent back to lumby...

Actually, you can cancel your membership, and sign back in. You'll be spawned in Lumbridge. Then, just activate membership again, and you're a member in lumby again.

So based on the replies above, it looks like you cannot log in if you have an active membership, but without an active membership (lapsed or cancelled) you'd respawn in Lumbridge.

Was wondering as if you respawn in Lumbridge even with active membership, it would be a good way of escaping dangerous situations (e.g., got attacked/tb'd outside mage bank but got far enough away to log out). But it looks like you may need to cancel your membership to get a quick/free tele home ... which would be a real pain.

WARNING: Prone to ramble ... but you probably already know that!

You could also just go on Vacation or get your parents to ship you off to Boarding school... :-w

Best way to quit runescape temporarily:

Wear all of your best members items. Withdraw all of the rest of your best items from your bank. Make sure your inventory is full, and there aren't any stacks of your best items left in the bank (i.e. withdraw all of your coins. Don't leave a single coin in the bank.)

Then let your membership expire.

There is really nothing you can do in f2p with a full inventory, and you won't want to drop anything because they're your best items. You won't be tempted to play when you know you can't do anything in the game.

And if you decide you're ready to come back, you can just pay for membership again and you've lost nothing.

There are 10 types of people in the world:

* Those who understand binary

* Those who don't

Fill you're inventory with strange boxes - trying to banking them doubles them which is quite quick. Just the thought of all those boxes will keep you working.

Great idea there.

I also think that the idea of "blocking" the RuneScape wesbsite and having someone else set the password would be pretty good.

What happens if you get hacked?

:ohnoes:

you can also go with lunar or ancient inside death altar(via abyss)

and with the beam rotated to the stairs (not the door where the altar is)

then drop all teleport methods

Theres the exit to the underground pass.

Ultimately, the only way to quit rs is to have self control (it's also a good way to avoid having to quit).

iw l8tly been slowing down on my playing. how? well i have made new hobys. im now making movies and home pictuers as well as role playing and this forums.

thers 2 ways to slow down or quit playing.

1. get new hobys that interfear whit ur playing and install a timer to ur internet simply by puting a power timer to ur modem.

2. if u whant to u can go the drastik and fast wayy by a: destroying ur computer (a bit extream lol) b: puting runescape ower the sights internet wont alow u to go c: by giwing away everyitn on ur acc and lolg of from members (members is wery dangerus if u whant to stop playing)

reamember the ti̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâôps whit the electrical timer. it has been working for me. turns of internet for 3h wher i clean/make food/homwork/ and go out

Give all ur things to a friend who plays so much rs theyre never going to quit. And tell them to not give u back ur stuck until the temp quit is finished. Of course, slight chance they just run away with it all after a while...

If you really want to quit, take your most expensive items(preferably a rare), go kill the KQ, drop any teles and food you have, and log off. If you ever log in again, you'll probably die and lose everything, so I guess you won't.

Note:Don't do that, just log off. :shame:

Quit RS, combat 104, total 1651

ugafan2009.png

Lol, pretty clever way to quite temporarily.

I personally choose a different method. Play until I get bored, wait for membership to run out, play in F2P, die of boredom, quit.

I'm currently on a break too. Dunno if I'm coming back anytime soon or not.

i cant belive you guys have to have a "how to quit"

:-k

runescape really has some people by its grasp... ive played since 01 and its never interferred with my life to the point where i had to "not play"
