What is your best "Lucky Merchnat"?

 

 

 

This is to post all the fantastic few seconds, where millions suddenly come up for grabs. I am talking about when a player does not know the value for something, needs a quick sale/purchase, or is just plain stupid. There are 2 ways this happens, someone buying something off you at a very high price, or someone selling something to you for a very low price.

 

 

 

This has happened to me 4 times (sorry no screenshots ):

 

1. Varrock west bank - Bought a D Skirt for 250k from a loaded guy who needed quick cash and who had got it from Slayer.

 

 

 

2. Only 10 minutes after the one above, I snapped up a Obby Shield for 220k, I have no idea why it was so cheap.

 

 

 

3. Edgeville bank - Guy pked a whip, and sold in bank for 1.2m (they were 1.9m at the time), someone beat me to it :(

 

 

 

4. A mate of mine sold a Guth spear to a guy for 7.7m.

sold obby cape to eager noob for 500k, after they heard i got it has a monster drop(had literally just gotten it) there only like 200-300k i blieve.(this was a week ago.

Back when i was f2p and merchanting for full zammy (i only middes plate and leggs).

 

 

 

I bought 40 rune scimmys for 20k ea (800k).

 

Sold 10 normal for 30k ea (300k).

 

And sold the last 30 for a zammy plate! (1.2 back then).

few months after i started playing rs someone told me i can make amulets (i didnt know that back then) i took all the gems i had (was f2p) made around 140 str ammies (couldnt craft nor alch powers) around 200 def ammies and 180 mage ammies at first i tried selling but only sold around 1 for 3 hours i got desperate and decided to forget about it and then about 1 week later someone in varrock said he buys for really high prices i was surprised and thought he is gonna scam but he didnt i earned 6m and got banned 3 weeks later :( its was my first lost main i lost 3 more (and no i didnt get banned for scamming i got banned for asking people too many times their age and didnt know i was breaking the rules :( )

 

 

 

EDIT: other mains if anyone wants to know were lost this way:

 

2nd main- didnt worry about security enough got hacked and didnt have recov questions

 

3rd main-i trusted someone in rs without knowing his real intentions and gave him my pass lost everything i own and quit rs for a couple of months i dont remember password but i suppose i can get the acc back though stats are probably lame if i remember right

 

4th main-also banned jagex somehow knew i was real item world trading (gave someone 1m for some money ever since i dont break rules...well not ones i can get cought :oops: )

went to falador world two to buy 100 death runes for 35k

 

 

 

a level 37 traded with me. i put up my 35k and she put up 7k death runes. i waited about 30 seconds for her to take runes away, but all i saw was 'other play has accepted trade' I was thrilled with my new cash, so i sold some other stuff and bought my first whip. not knowing what to kill first, i decided to train slayer. i only remembered to do barrows 3 weeks later =P~

A few days ago some guy asked to buy my whip. I told him it was not for sale, he then offered me 2.2mil for it. I traded it and then bought one off the forums for 1.6mil \

Um. My only real "quick" cash booster was buying some guy's whip for 2.1m, sold it for 2.6 or so.

I bought a granite sheild for 30k near lumbridge. Went straight into draynor bank and sold it for 100k.

sold my first whip for 8.8m to a loaded high lvl, (he was desperate,following me for 10 minutes begging) whips were not circulating as much then as now so they were 5.6m at the time

 

i then switched to world 2 and got one for 5.5m

traded a guy an ahrims staff i got at a drop party for 50k cash an Apprentice wand and like 100 unids, 25 of which were ranarrs and the rest were higher. He offered 50k first and I told him he had to sweaten the deal, he had no idea how much Apprentice wand was worth, said his friend gave it to him. Was back when they just came out. I made a killing with the wand and pots.

i dont think many will belive this but i whas fleching at seers bank and ther whas one shouting for a ring moul.

 

well after 15 mins he souted out that he whas buying one for 1m.. well no one whas beliving him. well i thot i would be kind and get it for him from alkarid and telled ther bout a moul and traded it whit himm.. sure enuf i whas 1m richer...
