Sir_Alex85
Uh. AC/DC aren't metal, and "Iron Maided" don't exist. >.> Instead of cracking me down, could you tell me where to put them? :-k It's faster to just do a quick search on wiki then wait for my response, but hey, I'll bite. AC/DC are more of a hard rock/classic rock variety. Depends on who you talk to. As for Maided, it's Maiden. It really has
Nadril
I see. heavy metal isn't screaming though. Heavy metal is bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, ect. Yes, but then what's the difference between Metallica and Iron Maiden uc. There is less difference between them, then like between Iron Maiden and Slipknot! Another name for 'Metal with screamy lyrics' then? Metalica and Iron maiden are both heavy metal. Slipnot is metalcore. The tough thing is there are so many genres that have 'screaming lyrics' in them. Death metal, black metal, doom metal to name a few. Thats why i'm trying to figure out how much you wanna classify the varrious styles.

How2PK
Can't we just group scremo, metal-core and all that stuff in one group. It doesn't seem very handy to create a group for every subgenre. i'd remove new wave from the list by the way. And same for Pop. As they're more categories than genres. Jazz: Duke Ellington Chet Baker Count Basie Miles Davis JOhn Coltrane Alice Coltrane Herbie Hancock Frank Zappa (not everything though) Keith Jarret Weather Report Jaco Pastorius Sun Ra Nils Petter MolvÃÆÃâÃâær Pat Metheny Group Erik Truffaz Joe Zawinul/The Zawinul Syndicate Charles Mingus Donald [bleep]en/Steely Dan (not everything) Blues: B.B. hohto
Powermetal: Children Of Bodom They got few power metal stylish things, but if you ask me, they are far closer to death metal than power. However their genre seems to depend really much about who you ask: Finnish wikipedia (CoB's a Finnish band for those who didn't know) calls it extreme metal, English just puts it as metal, allmetal guide puts them under black metal (lol :o ), Encyclopaedia Metallum as to speed-/power category, danish wikipedia as melodeath and so on. However they have said themselves that they started as a thrash metal band and their current stuff is extreme metal with old black, death and classical heavy metal influences. I'd rather die for what I believe in than live for anything else.Name Removed by Administrator ~Turtlefemm
