My friend ran into my flat (apartment) and into my room to wake me up because the building was on fire. If they had been five minutes later they would've been too late. It was a really strange experience but it gave me a huge reality check. I've had a totally different outlook on life since then. Scary stuff, glad you're ok. :ohnoes: Anyway rude wakeups... Usually it's just some noise outside like a garbage truck or some people being really loud in thier house. Nothing special but it annoys the hell out of me. It zoomed around the ceiling (I sleep in a loft bed, the pidgeon was right up in my face) for about a minute before landing on the wardrobe. I was a bit dazed as it was 8 in the morning and I was tempted to leave it there and go back to sleep but I had a feeling it would poop all over my carpet. So I had to get up, open the curtains at 8 in the morning (!) and go back to bed with the curtains open, letting direct sunlight into my room. Not fun.That would actually be the worst thing ever for me - I have such a bad phobia of birds, especially pidgeons. If that happened to me i would probly literally be curled up in a ball under my duvet shouting for someone to come get it or something. :( arr just thinking about it scares me. All the lights on the house come on and wake me up. I decide to go back upstairs to my room but I was so disoriented that I walked out the front door. Her car had been submerged in a lake and the only evidence they found of her was one of her sandals on the road. Later that day we found out that she wasn't dead. She had kicked open her door and got out in time. It was very late at night so she couldn't see where she walking very well, also she must have been freaked from the near death experience, and I think this is when she lost her sandal. She found her way to her friends house (she had been driving from her friend's party to our house that night) but for some reason didn't feel the need to call our family to tell of her accident. I woke up one day on a weekend, my room door was open, and there was this big, shaggy dog standing there looking at me. When it saw me sit up, it ran in and jumped on my lap :lol: I found out quickly it was the dog of someone down the street, who was having coffee with my mom, they brought him with them. I asked my mom why there was a firetruck, and she said someone had put a bomb aka a Molotov Cocktail in our yard last night. And apparently one exploded at our neighbors too. Now they're bringing in the bomb squad, state police, and news. They've blocked off our street, and I wanted to go out. :XD: It's just an odd thing to wake up to, I feel like I'm dreaming. So anyway, anyone have any experiences waking up to the oddest of things that can seem surreal? Heh not that I can talk about on here The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours.
