What a way to wake up.

I woke up just now to the sound of a firetruck out my window. I asked my mom why there was a firetruck, and she said someone had put a bomb aka a Molotov Cocktail in our yard last night. And apparently one exploded at our neighbors too. Now they're bringing in the bomb squad, state police, and news. They've blocked off our street, and I wanted to go out. :XD:

 

 

 

It's just an odd thing to wake up to, I feel like I'm dreaming.

 

 

 

So anyway, anyone have any experiences waking up to the oddest of things that can seem surreal?

I once woke up with a man right outside my window, and I'm on the second floor of my house. It turned out that he was replacing some of our shingles. Considering my bed is RIGHT beside my window, it was VERY startling.

I live in a student housing complex with a concrete football/basketball field in the courtyard. The football goals are made entirely out of solid steel pipes (to prevent vandalism). The walls of the houses are pretty thin, so whenever someone decides to kick a ball around at 4am I hear every goal they score. It doesn't help that my room is right outside the field. Luckily they're usually so drunk they can barely walk so they don't score all that much...

I once woke up in the middle of the night because my dad (he just got home) was yelling my name. So I jumped out of bed and asked wth was going on. He said my mom still wasn't home, while she should be (she was out with some friends). I (just woke up) was kinda shocked to hear that. My dad had phoned her friends and they said she was already gone to go to the place were my dad was (my dad was visiting my uncle because of his birthday). But my dad (he was the whole evening at my uncle) didn't see her, and just went home thinking my mom just went home instead of going to my uncle.

 

 

 

Then it hit me... My mom had left her friends and went to go to my uncle's place (where my dad was) but never arrived there. She should have arrived hours ago, so everything could have happened.

 

Only 5 minutes after I woke up all kinds of horror stories flashed my mind. My dad (freaking out) didn't make me feel any better... So.. my dad rushed to the phone and said something like "argh, what's the police dept. phone number?" I replied with "who cares?? just ring 112" (that's our 911). At that moment thoughts like: "omg my mom might have had an accident and got herself killed". I was about to completely freak out when I saw some lights on the (quite long) path towards our house (my dad was already on the phone with the 112 lady) so I screamed "look! car lights!" We rushed outside and saw that it was my mom, completely surprised because of our panicky behaviour. It appeared she'd instead of going to my uncle she went to some other friends. The friends that my dad had called didn't know that, so there's where the misunderstanding occured.

 

 

 

All this happened in less than 10mins. Absolutely the freakiest way for me to wake up, and thank god it was for nothing.

 

My dad was quite angry though, for my mom not telling that she'd gone somewhere else and tell us (after all, it was 3.30 AM)

 

 

 

Well this story probably isn't very clear, but I still feel kinda stressed when thinking of it.

My cat was on the window ledge thingy and at like 2:00am she cannonballs off the ledge right on my chest, hurt like hell.

I was woken by a pidgeon flying in through the window and panicking. It zoomed around the ceiling (I sleep in a loft bed, the pidgeon was right up in my face) for about a minute before landing on the wardrobe. I was a bit dazed as it was 8 in the morning and I was tempted to leave it there and go back to sleep but I had a feeling it would poop all over my carpet. So I had to get up, open the curtains at 8 in the morning (!) and go back to bed with the curtains open, letting direct sunlight into my room. Not fun.

Haha, the same thing happened to me once. He was once of the cable guys and they decided to climb up a ladder resting on my window. I was already up that time, half-dressed, when I heard someone talking just oustide. I turned around to see some dude on my window :shock:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Thank God I didn't decide to get changed at that moment, I was about to as well...

Lol, I was trapped indoors, protocol, the only chance of being on TV is that they may have saw me through the window.

 

 

 

There were two bombs, ours was a two liter and the other was smaller, they were on either side of our drive way. I'd like to know why it was us, why out of everyone else on this street and in my city. :-k Oh well, they're going to finger print it I believe.

The rudest wake-up call I've ever had was the time when my older brother threatened to destroy my copy of Illmatic (one of the greatest rap albums of all time) if I didn't get up to watch him start up his 360 on Christmas in '05.

Woke up chocking on my own blood...had a nose bleed in the middle of the night.. didn't wake up streight after it happend either.. so there was blood all over my bed and face etc...

My rude awakening came at 2:30am one Saturday in August a few years ago. My friend ran into my flat (apartment) and into my room to wake me up because the building was on fire. If they had been five minutes later they would've been too late. It was a really strange experience but it gave me a huge reality check. I've had a totally different outlook on life since then.
