For an example, 19:00 (GMT+1 @ The Netherlands), there 40 servers for the free players with a lower player count than members. As the fully full world, its 7 full member, and 4 full free. Isnt it time for jagex to create some more member servers? Or is it just time to cancel our membership and get some more space to breath? Remember there 1m+ members, even more free players and its ages ago they created new servers. Currently working on: <- @ lobsters from 60 <- @ Sharks from 94. Stilev Posted May 13, 2007 Share Posted May 13, 2007 im pretty sure its fine how it is, usually most the words will have 1000-1500 people, which is idly what Jagex wants, only during peak ours do more then the usual top 5 worlds go FULL if jagex made more severs then they would have to pay more money, so there is no point in it if the numbers of worlds right now is fine and making more worlds just kuz you remember when there were less then 20 :-s seems like a rather pointless reason to me but w\e, and yes i remember when there were only like 14 worlds as well Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

There not croweded enough to justify getting more ones though (in my opinion). They really don't need to add any until the summer rush starts. I was shocked at how many servers there are now, I still recall back when I joined the average people online at a time were about a couple thousand... gamblingfool Posted May 13, 2007 Share Posted May 13, 2007 Eh, I think the servers are pretty good. I remember when they were releasing like, 5 new servers almost every 2 weeks, it was crazy. Right now we don't really need any, it's never ALWAYS above 1500 on every world. Only during those few peak hours. I would like to see them fix the whole time delay thing. That's always bugging me. yomom1919 Posted May 13, 2007 Share Posted May 13, 2007 I think jagex likes it this way. Back when all the servers were mostly only 1/4th full, runescape was more like a solo one player game. Ofcourse, it still is very solo and exactly the same.. But now that the servers are crowded and populated, this allows jagex to expand on a multiplayer concept. If that were the case, at 2 in the morning in the US, you would get less lag than at peak times, and thats not the case. And when i join a memberworld, get my [wagon] to the bank of seer's... i see about 200-300 ppl crouded into the bank, causing a massive cpu lag when chat, privchat and trade is all turned on. I dont even dare to walk tru the banks of falador, varrock or lumbridge at peak times, i just tele from place to place. Not much more servers, 5-10 will do.... with the summerbreak i think they need to add even more servers (just a few, becuz also players go on vacation) Currently working on: <- @ lobsters from 60 <- @ Sharks from 94. Freesia Posted May 14, 2007 Share Posted May 14, 2007 Wow at those figures. I wasn't even aware of such problems since I don't play at peak times. Only during non-peak times there were only about 250+ players each server. The current amount of servers should still be able to sustain the amount of members out there for only about a few more months before they need more..
