May 17, 200719 yr If you can't reed the reason it says "Listening in class" [hide= The Story] There's 1 week of school left and then finals, the whole year I would listen to my mp3 player in the hallway from 1st-2nd period, it takes a full 7 minutes to get there so it's worth the time. Our school has a no mp3 player rule, but poorly enforced only by the teachers who are like "female dogs". Every time I've been warned I kept a mental note of which teachers to hide from in the halls (2 of them). This time I got stopped by this teacher, Kocim. She is rumoured to give out detentions to students who don't call her "Dr. Kocim" because she has a doctorate's degree (yet only a teacher, therefor the "female dog" ish attitude) She confiscated my mp3 player and took my name and told me it would by at the Dean's office. 6th period I get a white note to go down to the dean's. (I was a tad afraid because I had cranberryjuice + vodka during lunch) But it was only the mp3 player thing. I ended up getting a detention from a dean I pass everyday with my headphones on. I'm currently planning on finding a loophole because of the false reason (probably for a harsher punishment). [/hide] Any of you have stories like this?
May 17, 200719 yr You mean like how I got detention for chewing gum, or talking, or playing with my calculator?
May 17, 200719 yr Cant say I have ever got a detention. :P It seems really stupid that you cant even listen to Mp3 players in the halls. I can understand banning them in the classroom but in the halls? Common!

I can understand banning them in the classroom but in the halls? Common! Its my first serious one, and first in highschool. my only other one was a silly lunch detention for having 5 tardies, combined from 3 classes, in junior high. I've been showing everyone this slip, even my teachers. It's bringing a good laugh, seriously, "Listening in class" ?! See, she's the third teacher to say anything to me about it the whole year, one of them I don't blame because it was an empty hallway during a half period passing period (for lunch/homeroom). All the other teachers could care less if we're listening to music, we're not creating a threat or disturbing anyone. Also, I was listening to good ol' Jim Morrison, and when I got my mp3 player back, I was 9 songs ahead :-s
May 17, 200719 yr Cant say I have ever got a detention. :P Ditto, well after school that is. It's not regular at my school. Me doing staff.

May 17, 200719 yr I think I've already mentioned this... but my one detention came from me and the rest of the class waiting for half an hour for the teacher to show, with no signs or anything signifying whether or not the teacher was here. At the last period of the day. After the half hour, me and half the class just got pissed and left, and five minutes later a teacher came in, got attendance, gave everyone who left a detention (again, half the class), and let everyone leave 10 minutes before the period was over. -.- . [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.
May 17, 200719 yr You knew they had rules against it. You pushed it. You deserve the detention. I just posted something! ^_^ to the terrorist...er... kirbybeam.
May 17, 200719 yr You mean like how I got detention for chewing gum, or talking, or playing with my calculator? you got a detention for THAT? I ALWAYS play with my calculator, i talk, i sleep in class, and i doodle all the time and i havent gotten one detention in my life. I guess im lucky Never take life too seriously, nobody gets out alive.

May 17, 200719 yr I got a detention one, for chucking paper balls at this one guy who sits across from me in History. When I showed up, though, the teacher just told me to behave, and said I could go - :-s . I mean, it was a pleasant surprise, but still... (In my defense, though, that guy was being a **** wagon-hole. Nailing him in the head was well worth a detention.)
May 17, 200719 yr We get detentions for wearing hoodies, not wearing correct school shoes (they even make us wear pumps), if they can see our mobiles or mp3 they take it off us and we get a warning from the head, your not allowed to wear your coat when you sit in the hall .. I got a detention for having no back to my shoes, keeping my coat on in the library, having a hoody in my hand. They're only minor though. ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢
May 17, 200719 yr we got this totally anti-technology teacher at my school (pretty ironic since he teaches physics) and he will confiscate ANY item that has electricity in it that isnt allowed (even watches that arent on wrists).
May 17, 200719 yr You had vodka during school?!?! :-s Thats daft. At my school (the school part not the 6th form) they didnt really want you to have they but they just said to take the earphones out when you went past them but you would just put them back in straight away. But seriously, vodka in school is just too much!!! #-o

But seriously, vodka in school is just too much!!! #-o Where'dja catch that? :-s So far this year I have been assigned roughly 30 detentions, but only 3 of them have been enforced. One for telling this girl that she was [developmentally delayed]ed (in a joking manner obviously), another for throwing things at my friend (just joking around), and another for skipping French class. The other 27 or so were for being an [wagon] to my [bleep] French teacher. She's so dumb that when she writes up a referral for me, she forgets to pass it in to the main office. ~~Let The Dragon ride again, on the winds of time~~I've always felt as if I'm the only person who can understand the concept of sarcasm on the internet.

And if they turned up and took attendance - they can't exactly screw us for skipping. There's enough people to call them out on turning up so late :)
May 17, 200719 yr I don't get it  Schools are insane these days. I got detention for being late like 4 times, or doing dangerous stuff. 3 hours for having your shirt untucked... I wouldn't even accepted the punishment. That's pure madness, I'm happy my school was at least somewhat normal. Wow.
May 17, 200719 yr a friend of mine was kicked out of prom because of his reputation. Him and his gf were having a good time, dancing it up, drinking punch. and they kicked him out because they said he was out in the parking lot drinking, in a 5 minute period where he was gone. he was in the bathroom.... May 17, 200719 yr Now i would never get detention, I am in 6th form so I need to spend my time better than in detention but back in Year 7,8,9 i practically lived in detention. It was mostly because there was this one teacher who really did not like me and gave me a detention every lesson for simple things, once he gave me one because my pen ran out. Most of the time it was for talking in class and always hacking into the school's computer system during lessons. I got bored to easily in school, i had to occupy my mind somehow.
