When I first crashed here in RuneScape I landed in the centre on Varrock, I disguised my space ship as fountain with a statue in the centre, hence the size of the fountain, now that noise is my space ship's deep space sub communication's distress beacon. The Message the beacon is sending out is as follows: Day 1: * blah blah blah co-ordinates* It's beautiful here bring galactic mother ship, we can all live here over. Day 2: they have magic, herblore, fish and you eat them! Day 3: PMG'Z some noobz haxerd ma st00f, repeat haxos ma st00f... May 25, 200719 yr Wow that's weird. Funny story: I was going up to varrock castle to see if it did indeed get louder and more frequent (which is didn't by the way :? ) and as I walk into it I hear a huge blast, and I'm like "PMG NEW DISCOVERY!!!" but it was just someone casting iban blast :XD:
May 25, 200719 yr Hm...sounds kinda like a bubbling, wavy kinda sound? I've been hearing it for awhile but never gave it much thought. Still alive, still alive.
May 25, 200719 yr That is one creepy sound... like an alien transmitter.... EDIT: AFter furhter investigation; I have new evidence to produce. The sound seems to get fainter the furter away you get from the fountain. Then, there are two places where there is the fountain sound AND some weird interference at the same time. (These are the first to places in my pic). Around the smaller fountain in Varrock, there is a very annoying buzzing sound too (illustrated in the last pic). We tried using an abyssal whip to 'suggest' they work faster
May 25, 200719 yr First off, I borrowed your Pics Bard Bow Man. Second, In the second image, right next to the staff shop. If you stand at that point, you can here a static-like noise-also, you can hear a sound like approaching footsteps. The first noise sounds like rushing water almost, so that explains this noise, and the water would be in the fountain. The second noise I don't know about-no explanation I've thought about sticks to is. Puzzling :-k ...

I heard weird sounds at the main fountain not the one by the side. Maybe both make weird noises...

May 25, 200719 yr I think the sound by the east fountain is definitely the fountain itself, but the central one? Yeah, a couple of them sound like the scimitar monkey, but some are just really, really weird. Propeller-like.

May 26, 200719 yr I think you can hear the sounds in the east bank. it sounds like bells. where is it coming from? I hear that all the time, I think it's just sounds meant for the bank. As for these other sounds, sounds intresting, I ought to check it ouy :-s

May 26, 200719 yr In summary, I'd say black is [roughly] where you can hear the strange alien homing beacon sound, and red is [roughly] where you can hear the slithering and crunching/footstep sound.
May 26, 200719 yr All these areas seem to be correct. Although is it just me, or has the sound gotten higher pitched?
