Weekly Poll: If you use other RuneScape help sites...

Featured Replies

This week's poll, If you use other RuneScape help sites, what is the reason? is up on the main Tip.It website, please be sure to vote before the poll closes. If you'd like to discuss the poll topic, or talk about the poll results so far, this is the place to do it.

This is also the place to provide specifics if you selected answer number 4., "They have tools/databases/information you don't have". Or, if you've selected answers 1, 2 or 3, we'd like to know WHY you think other sites' guides/databases are better.

We'd like to know what more we can do to keep you coming back to Tip.It.

Remember, the SEARCH button is your friend. Use it!

I only use other sites for these reasons :

- Runehq's stat levelling guide. Very useful since all the info is in the same page (Useful for low lever questers planning their levelling)

- City guides : Someone I need to know the shop price of an item, or if its sold in a shop. A shop database would be great on Tip.It

- And sometimes for hard quests with really hard boss monsters the short description given on Tip.It just isnt enought, so I look for information on all the other sites so I know how to deal with the boss. Like mrmyk said Runescape Sals is pretty good at quest guides

edit : It does hurt my Tipiter hearth when im forced to use another site :( :( :( :( :(

Quest cape obtained at combat level 83, march 07.

only tip.it and runescape.

tip.it only

but the price list in the forum seems outdated, it should be on the tip.it site itself, regularely updated...

tip.it calc's dont work for me in general... (none of them look up highscores for me, and on some of them other stuff doesn't work)

so i use runehq for calcs

i use firefox btw..

i also like how their guides have more pictures....

Was just looking for a place to post this in the General forum. Tip.It used to have a sticky of F2P high scores that was maintained manually, but the author quit and it was quite difficult to do. The staff deleted the sticky as it was out of date, rather than finding someone to take over. :(

Most of the topic responses merely consisted of "here's where I am" which wasn't really much in the way of discussion. HOWEVER, I'd like to make some type of permanent post telling people where they can go see it (realising of course that it's not on our site and we don't normally send people elsewhere ...)

F2P High Scores List

This list is considered authoritative by most websites as it's too much work to repeat it everywhere, lol.

it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*.

I rly like this poll its one of the best ones ive ever voted in and im glad someone came up with this. And the answer was "better guides/more guides" and the reason I picked that one was bcuz runehq.com has more pictures and easier to read quest guides. But other than that its tip.it all the way.

I use help sites mainly because they have good information, and awesome communities.

The only time I go someplace else than Runescape.com or Tip.it is when I need a street price for a Item. You probably know what site I'm visiting when I need that information.

I use Tip.it mainly to read about Runescape discussions. I rarely take part but I like to read about it while I'm playing.

(Ps. I would like more "Times like" articles)

21 lag piles, 4 Pjs, 2 Party hat kills, 67 newbs teached.

I never go to any other site.

But when I'm IRC chat I do !price commands and that uses Zybez's price guide. So I thought about what I should choose and I chose, No only Tipit. ::'

I go to Zybez because of the price guide.

I got to RuneHQ very rarely to help a friend do a quest. (Their quest guides have a bit more detail I am afraid. :| )

It's not even debatable that there are other sites with much better quest guides than what tip it has. Other than that, what guides tip it does have, most sites don't rival. On the services end of things it's pretty lacking though, but that's not really what this site is about.

i use other sites about as much as i do tip.it

(which is why none of you probably know who i am)

i do this simply for variety, and i have thigns wrong with all of them

and since this poll seems to be trying to find ways to improve, i'd say:

include more pictures in quest guides, and longer descriptions of bosses and stratagies,

a shop guide! please!

(and i think quest guides should be under guides, not databases)

I use another fan site whenever tip.it misses out on certain bits of information.

I found the hunting guide on zybez.net more useful and the herblore guide as well. Their market price guide is all an opurtunistic merchant could ever dream of and this would be a really nice addition to tip.it.

And another reason for me to leave tip.it for other fansites is for more extended databases, I think it's just impossible for 1 fansite to be the best at everything so I add zybez and sometimes RHQ to find what I need to know.

I mostly use Tip.It. When I do use another site it is because I am looking for another perspective. This is especially true of Market Prices, less so for Quest hints and Skill guides.

I use runescape sals for quest guides. I just feel they are more well...easy to use and involve more pictures :)

Yea I like the little pictures too

I also like the Tools and information sites such as RuneHQ have

I use other sites because the ads here can be annoying, excessive, and intrusive.

I mostly use tip its, but i often use zybez for their market guide. I only used hq once, but never have been a fan of it.
