I quit in February, due to the luring and scamming not being cleaned up. A friend asked me to wc in free and i saw just how many autoers there were...read the rant sticky to read more on that subject. After finding literal bot armies I came on for awhile each day to target report the armies. I found...and this is no lie...more then 2k bots in one name alone. There were many more I just got tired of looking.

 

 

 

The patterns were also apparent and i guess Jagex has cleaned up the largest 'families' because quite a few are not hiscores anymore. There are not hundreds of autoers walking by draynor and the yews are clear. I actually filled my inventory in no time , whereas i got one log a tree ...or none.

 

 

 

So it appears Jagex is truly not just blowing smoke to appease the masses...they really are banning en masse and it is starting to show. SO try the yews again people! They are a lot less crowded :D

Mass punishment ftw :D Good to see these lazy dingbats finally get what's coming to them.

Same goes for the p2p sharks and rune shops !!! Jagex really is doing a great job and this can be easily noticed in the rapidly increasing prices of sharks, yews, rune ess and many other things.

Worst part about banning the autoers for people like me who can't be stuffed collecting raw materials myself is the price goes up lol...

WOW!!! I was mining in the mining guild (cause i was sick of autoers) and since i saw this there is only 1 autoer there, when i went past 2 days ago, there was 23 (no joke). After i mine my 661/2000

i noticed that there was only 1 or 2 walking by when i was cutting willows in draynor, good to see them go, the only ones left are the ones who aren't families (no more cctt__ \ )

 

 

 

don't know what they did or how, all i know is that i'm very happy about it. :D

Ive been spending a lot of time at the fishing guild lately (98 fishing ftw), and a few months ago the place was packed with macros, now there are rarely any there.

That's the only update I really hoped for from Jagex.

I went to the free world to give a f2p friend some stuff and I was unhappily amazed at the amount of 'green clone guys' (as I call them) at the yew trees between Draynor and Port Sarim. And I went on to find that just about any resource that could be bought and sold for a profit was so tight. Autobots hang out in the magic store and just buy runes. I asked my friend how he could play in those conditions. Sadly, he told me he just gets used to it. It's because of the autobots that I bring him runes. He just couldn't get them in the f2p. :(

 

 

 

Honestly, I would have quit if I'd been him.

 

 

 

I didn't believe Jagex when they said they were going to get tough on 'bots, but I take it back. It looks like they're really doing something and not just blowing smoke.

Ya F2P sucks in that aspect. Thankfully mining, which is my favourite, isn't full of macroes in the guild. I would woodcut more if I had a chance a getting any Yews. It take me about 20 minutes to get full inventory. Fishing is even worse. Today I was on Karjama, right clicked on one of the fishing spots, the whole list was level 3 dudes with foreign names. And the list went on below where the popout would show. So they gotta go fix the fishing now.

I saw 16 autoers at the yew trees below falador yesterday. That was my first experience with mass autoers, never thought it'd be that bad.

kool! What they lost is a large amount of gp, a lot of unsold yews and plenty of time. Go ahead JaGex. I believe ur able to kick those macroers out of the door of Runescape. :roll: \

EDIT: Actually it's closer to 243569224216081305397 possible usernames since the space is also a character, so it's 12 digits with 37 characters each .

Good idea. Just don't buy from the bot ring leaders or else that'll just be throwing fuel onto the fire.

 

 

 

Now that Jagex has increased the crack down on bots, it's possible the bot ring leaders will churn out even more bots to compensate for the rate of bots being banned. Jagex will probably be banning bots as quickly as they are being made. :?

It's not just the f2p trees.

 

 

 

This weekend I was mining p ess (I have a massive rc project to do), and each and every trip I was reporting autoers. In one hour I had to have reported at least 30 autoers. And there were still more there!

 

 

 

Now that Jagex has cleaned up the trees, how about cleaning up the ess mines too? Granted, it's not quite as bad as yews, but mining is mining.

I went over to Pest Control last night and I couldn't believe it when I saw an autobot in the magic store buying up all the chaos and deaths. :evil: :x I've seen it in the f2p but this is the first time in the p2p world. I can't even begin to say how angry that made me. I wish Jagex had an attack bot option I would have ice blitzed the 'mother where he stood I was so mad.

 

 

 

Gosh... it makes me all fluttery inside to think of performing an ice burst on the lot of them around a yew tree. \ 8-)
