The whole internet thing (and OT on this site, specifically) is a bit of an escape from the real world. Bit of fun and hopefully a place where I can learn a thing or two. Afterall I'd like to think I get something out of sitting infront of a panel beaming radiation into my head constantly. :lol:

This basically sums it up for me too. I rarely 'laugh out loud' when reading a forum, but topics such as My_eggs recent one just crack me up.

Fun. Not for discussion anyway. I'm no good at that.

The reason why i post in the off-topic forums is because i quit runescape about 3-4 months back (which isnt any where near as hard as it sounds).

 

 

 

Theres no where else to post on the tip.it forums that isnt in someway connected to the addictive, time-wasting game that is runescape. Anyone agree with me?

Because this forum is my internet home. I know the posters, I know the personality of the forum, and I just feel comfortable here. I've tried moving to other sites, but I always come back to TIF.

 

 

 

I've been here for years. In that time, I've been challenged. I've made friends. I've learned how to defend my faith (and, conversly, how NOT to defend my faith), and I've learned to understand and respect people whose beliefs differ from mine.

I always have as far back as I can remember. I wouldn't know what to do if I didn't come here all the time.

Because its hard to talk serious about Runescape for an extended period of time. This helps break the monotony.

I was addicted once, now cutting back on forums, but playing poker and warrock now.

I learn a lot from coming here and participating in various debates. Thoughts, opinions, facts.

I dunno.. I think TIF OT is better for your brain that Runescape. At least here you can have a semi intelligent conversation once in a while. In Runescape everything is settle by who can say noob more than the other person..

Learn some pretty cool stuff that's happened in the world outside of RS.

I can say i read OT and they :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock:

mature discussions with mature people :)

 

 

 

and i learn a lot from here.

I have a few reasons:

 

 

 

1)Too much free time

 

2)Comic Relief (Mango & Carrot thingy)

 

3)Laughing at certain ignorant idiots

 

4)Umm, learning something? :|

There are a couple of reasons:

 

- It's fun.

 

- It keeps me updated on world wide news.

 

- I learn english and extend my vocabulary.

 

- If someone talks about something I don't know about, I look it up and learn about it.

 

- My own views are questioned and I get to hear other peoples views.

Music&Movies was for music discussion, this is for everything else. I have friends on these boards, and I like to see what's goin' down. And most of 'em hang at at Off Topic and M&M.

i dont play rs atm, and between ims w/ friends and searching for opponents in my current game i browse forums, and one of them is Tip.It.

 

 

 

Also, i like arguing for the sake of arguing, going nowhere slowly

because its fun...although..some threads seem really pointless..but gives me a laugh

cause i find it very interesting.. and they are fun topics.. and i dunno.. its easier to stay on topic
