as dark beasts are 10x harder to kill, uncampable and require a hard route to access there including all the quests. No one would even bother kill dark beasts if the prices of the dark bow were below say 5mil.

Really, i pk-d with a whip when they were 20m, now i dont see anything stupid about that- alot of people even now pk with furys/berserker rings etc etc and die losing more than 10m, and i still dont see anything stupid about it. Most probobly the dark bows proctect value will be very similar to the proctect price of the whip, and if you have a deacent internet connection and know what you are doing, theres no ay of losing it.

 

Dragon arrows might cost alot, but noone says you will HAVE to use them- dark bow+rune arrows will still be better than msb+rune arrows. Also, theres no way dragon arrows could cost more than about 5k each, otherwise there just isnt a point in doing anything with them- unless ofcource you can get them back somehow.

I'm kind of hoping it will be almost the same bonus as a crystal bow, so I can take that bow to the dagganoth kings instead of my crystal one, because a low crystal bow is pretty useless and shooting the last bits up, starting from like 4/10 to 0/10 is always annoying me.

Just a reminder- all the bows you are thinking about are fletchable, and high shop value would make them too desireable for moneymaking and unbalance the game- and for your information, seeing how misled you are about the game, crystal bows used to alch for 700k+.

People are forgetting all bows hit the same(except CBow), it's just a matter of accuracy. There is a possibility this bow will be the same, or it will just be like a CBow and have a power boost along with accuracy boost.

 

 

 

PKing with it and not using dragon arrows would be kind of pointless, IMO. But of course, if it has an ownage special, I'll quickly take that back.

I completely agree with xpx. I hate that people are already judging the bow and arrows before they come out. There's really no way to tell the price, the stats, the protect value, or anything else until it comes out. So everyone should just calm down and wait a while.

Can't believe how fast this turned into a noob vs 'pro' battle. It's obvious that the bow will be used for pking IF its good enough.

 

 

 

No one knows what it's stats will be like. But because the C bow requires 70 range, MSB 50. Im guessing it will be better then an MSB but not as powerful or accurate then a C bow.

And thats exactly why I use MSB for training and Xbow for Barrows.

 

Its much cheaper than a C Bow (or DBow).

 

 

 

But you forgot about one of the main reasons why people play this game.

 

They want to show off their wealth/look good and compare themselves with others. And thats one of the main reasons to buy a DBow, and I dont blame 'em. The sketches look freaking cool

What does this mean to the prices? well, if the dark bow is similar to the abyssal whip- best bow there is(better than msb) and the droprate is also similar, there is no way the price could end up lover than the abyssal whip. Why? Only 90+ slayers can kill dark beasts, and if they do, they are doing it only for the money- and if dark beasts were LESS profitable than abyssal demons, not a single soul would bother killing dark beasts.

 

So no- the bow will never be cheap- it probobly wont ever even drop below 2m, unless ofcource there will be a better bow. It will be just like the beloved abyssal whip- only few could buy them at the beginning, but as time went past, they kept lowering and lowering, they still do, but no- it will still never be a cheap bow.

 

 

 

On the topic- what is whip used for? everything that envolves meleeing- what will be dark bow used for- everything that envolves ranging.

you CANT alch a crystal bow... and the 180k-900k is inclused 2500 rune-a-like arrows...

 

msb is only 1500gp or something...

 

and kharill c bow is 96k alch cuz its a barrow item...

Excuse the pun but your waay off target. A requirement will make the bow obviously more POWERFUL then the MSB (the spec will be up for debate in the PK deparement). But it will not be better then the C bow or x bow in terms of stats.

 

 

 

The price will be high but only because of the small amount in the game. Dark bow will only be useful for training and possibly castlewars and minigames. It will be the best, non-costly bow in the game, but from its look it's a longbow, and who the heck uses long bows #-o
