June 19, 200719 yr Well, I always update the music guide on my website at every RS update so it's always got every song's location... logged on today and scrolled through my list, noticing there was a new red song, "Melzar's Maze". Its location was obvious, so I got my keyring with the Maze key on it and headed down to the maze to unlock the music. I noticed there were Zombie rats in there, a new monster. So I went and got some monster examine runes, then returned. After scanning them, I killed some to get a key for the other parts of the maze, hoping there were some more new monsters. I killed tons of rats without a key... and then I came across this: That one probably drops the key... and now we can't kill it! I also tried the door to see if you could just open it, or use your keyring (with Maze key) to open it... no luck. I looked around the room as well and can't find a key or any way to continue on to the other parts of the maze. This was a great slayer spot... have they locked us out? Never trust anyone. June 19, 200719 yr wow, jagex gets rid of another training spot for f2p. Although the p2p updates are amazing right now, f2p is definitely getting the shaft.
June 19, 200719 yr This training spot for freeplayers isn't necessarily a good one; Ice Warriors are probably better by far. Besides that, if you're not doing the quest, why'd you go there anyway? June 19, 200719 yr They changed more aswell. Oziac do no longer give you the maze key when you first do the quest. The champions guild master does. 21 lag piles, 4 Pjs, 2 Party hat kills, 67 newbs teached.
June 19, 200719 yr wow and i was going to help out a friend through melzars's tomorrow...............

June 19, 200719 yr well that bites, the floor up was the best place to kill ghosts for burthroped slayer assignments. Oh well, I have 99 already so it doesn't hurt me :o
June 19, 200719 yr Wow Jagex is stupid, and why do you have zezima added? Your name is "bet you fail", and you're starting a business with your mom? I'm not even going to touch that.....
June 19, 200719 yr Aw... I used to escort people through that maze all the time... "300 programmers make their futile but glorious last stand against 1000000 angry players in The battle of Misthalin. They fight for honor, glory and new content sacrificing themselves so that their game may live on. This is Madness! This Is JAGEEEX!"
June 19, 200719 yr Great, what's the point of keeping maze keys now? Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.
June 19, 200719 yr Wow Jagex is stupid, and why do you have zezima added? O.o You have quite the eye to see that. I had to scroll up to see what you were talking about.

I had to scroll up to see what you were talking about. +1 to that On-Topic: As long as you can get the song, it's fine for me. Thanks for finding it, I only look at the Music Jukebox when Jagex adds a new area/new quest. I don't train there anyway for it to annoy me in the first place.
June 19, 200719 yr I saw that zezima thing too... (ya im kind of a loser, looking for recognition like that but oh well lol.) This sucks, I liked that maze. Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.Oscar Wilde
June 19, 200719 yr Author Wow Jagex is stupid, and why do you have zezima added? Because he's a friend of mine. Never trust anyone. You are always alone, and betrayal is inevitable.Nothing is safe from the jaws of the decompiler.
June 19, 200719 yr Wow Jagex is stupid, and why do you have zezima added? Because he's a friend of mine. True. Who are we to say that you don't know him in real life or are good friends back on RSC, right? Knowledge is Power; a Tip.it guide answers many commonly asked questions.~Celestrana: Making of a Hero ~ (Visit my blog, today!)

June 19, 200719 yr Author Never mind Zezima... this topic is about Melzar's Maze and if Jagex really did "lock us out". I should have blanked out my PMs... #-o Never trust anyone. You are always alone, and betrayal is inevitable.Nothing is safe from the jaws of the decompiler.
June 19, 200719 yr I'm proud of you guys. :) After reading the first page, I expected this to turn into a 'I love Zezima thread', but everyone has managed to stay mostly on topic so far. Although this makes me kind of a hypocrite ... Anyway, ON TOPIC! I never really found any advantage in using Melzar's Maze. I didn't know there were ghosts there, I always killed them in the other places with 1-2 spawns. Maybe this is an oversight and they didn't really intend to lock us out, but more likely, they don't want people bringing friends to help with Dragon Slayer. It's supposed to be the hardest F2P quest, and where's the thrill if you know your friend can get your stuff if the Lesser Demon kills you? (For me personally that Lesser was harder than the dang dragon.) My greatest ambition is to kill every member of the human race. However I am a realist and therefore know that I probably wont be able to.
