Basically, I can hang out anywhere with my friends, as long as I've called my mom before hand and told her what's up. Sounds like a good deal to me. I also give her the cell number of a friend if she has to reach me, and I usually end up crashing at a friend's place. Or else I have to take the bus home early. QFT, my parents were like that, and now I realise how lucky I am to have them such a way - the world can be dangerous for a 15 year old wherever you live, although you probably won't listen to this (I know I wouldn't have at this age) but its not as safe a place as you think, and you arent as all-knowing as you believe yourself to be (not calling you arrogant, most teens are).
July 2, 200719 yr My family were pretty loose at this age, but my friend always asked me if he could say he was staying at my house for awhile so his parents were not worrying. Then we'd party the night away. The bottom line is, lies will set you free. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.
July 3, 200719 yr My mum is a bit like that, even now when I'm 20, but I have a car, so I just say stfu and go out. Haha, nah I have more respect then that, when I go out usually don't get back to 5am, or crash the night at my mates place. I'll give her a txt or two during the night, let her know I'm sweet, and shes fine. But even through my teenage years she wasn't overly protective, just wanted to know where I was, who I was with etc. Just being a good parent IMO. Annoying thing is though, I'm the youngest, you'd of thoght I'd have the easy ride, right? WRONG. My bro and sis had alot more freedom, damn cell phones. But your parents sound pretty anal and need to loosen up a bit aye. Rebel FTW!
July 4, 200719 yr I have the same issues with my parents. What i do is i say, ok ill be back by, 7:30? And slowly increase my time. Say 5 minutes every 3 or 4 days. Works like a charm. :D

(NRA = National rifle accosiation correct?) And that sucks about your parents, the cell phone thing is proboly the best idea since lies can really blow up in your face.
July 5, 200719 yr My parents always want me home at such and such time; 9:30, 10, 11. I find the best way of dealing with this is working on a "live for the moment" system. Remember to only tell them that you're "going out with friends". When it's around the time you should be leaving, call your parents and tell them you're having too much fun to come home. You'll try to be home by 1, but no promises. Now, your parents are definately mad. But they can't come get you, and you're enjoying yourself too much to let this bother you.

If I'm like 10 minutes late she's usually scared out of her mind. Everytime theres a big enough storm, she always makes my younger brother and sister go hide in the basement with her.. :S

That'll work once every few months, so just loudly announce that you're going to bed early whenever you want to go out, turn lights off, wait 10-15 mins in silence, open your window(If you're lucky enough to have one :P), pile some stuff under the blankets, climb out(Make sure the window is on the ground floor), shut it to about 3 inches, leave. Everytime im late by 1 or 2 hours, she'll call and i usually tell her that im still at school doing a project, she always believes me.
