Wierd Dreams :$

Don't get me started...

Part of the fun of being schizophrenic (wich i was for some time) is that being awake and dreaming is just a blur, without a clear beginning or ending. After waking up it often took me a couple of minutes getting out of dreaming. Also very weird things happen when you know you are awake.

For example:

I had this really terrible nightmare and when i woke up i was completely freaked out, so i pack my stuff and take a train to Berlin. There i wander aimlessly trough the city until i decide to head back to Vienna. Outside the trainstation (the huge central train station of Berlin) i beat my head against a steel girder several times, because i was angry and frustrated. When i enter the station immediately afterwards a woman says in a compassionate voice trough the public adress system: "Ow! This is hurting!" I didn't think too much about it, because occurances like this were pretty normal to me back then.

or

I'm talking to this girl and i notice some fine hair above her upper lip. I think: "Meh, it's okay i guess." Then we decided to go outside for a smoke and when i face her again, the skin above her upper lip is perfectly smooth.

Generally things changing, while you are looking at it, or when you are looking away for a moment indicate that you are dreaming. During my schizophrenia this happend a lot while i was awake.

or

I was constantly trying to quit smoking back then. So i want to place my pack of cigarettes on the train tracks. I climb trough a fence and walk besides a bush to the track and a train rushes only half a meter past my face. On the way home i cross the street. I see a car coming slowly, but i had enough time to get on the other lane. Suddenly a car that apparently was overtaking the other one speeded past me and missed me for only about half a meter. Almost got run over twice in 15 minutes =P

Not in the mood to post some of my actual dreams atm.

I was on a channel ferry crossing from England to France and a cowboy jumps aboard and hijacks the boat, I give him a baguette and he jumps overboard then all the cars drive out of the side in the sea and float to France on huge metal trays.

Explain that. Had it a few years ago when in France.

Sandwich lady? -.-

I didn't play runescape then note the "...Had it a few years ago..."

Some of my friends and I are hanging out by the freeway, armed with loaded M16 rifles. We walk down the freeway, which for some reason is completely devoid of cars and is about three times wider than freeways should be. We enter a highway tunnel. The tunnel ends in a dead end. There is a door. For some reason, we start running. We run through the door, and I overshot and landed in a dark space. Suddenly, I hear a creepy voice. I scream and run out the door. I find myself in a sort of lounge with my friends. The door opens and a zombie comes out. One of my friends stabs it with a sword (even though he has a rifle).

The rest I forget.

Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

I sometimes get these really strange dreams, where it seems like i'm half-consious and I am controlling my actions in the dream, kinda like a TV program or something, the only thing I can't do is wake up -.-

Happened to anyone else?

Decided to bump this thread instead of making a new one..

Do dreams come true? I hope this one won't :anxious:

Is it bad to see somebody else's suicide in your dreams? Because I had a dream last night where I saw 3 students jump off our school roof.

A fellow classmate of mine noticed that a group of girls were on the roof, since out classroom had a full view of it. We thought it was all funny but all of a sudden, one of them jumped off :uhh: I screamed when I saw that, it was like a fricking organized suicide! The other two tried to run back up but one of them slid down and fell. Same goes for the last one... It was disturbing enough to see it, but hearding the 'thud' and the bodies hitting the fence before it hit the ground... *cries*

I hate dreams. Mine always have to be so realistic and detailed that I can remember it even the ones years and years ago.It was so detailed, I can remember every flippin' moment of it. I hate it, this isn't normal.

No. Dreams are just that- dreams. A dream about going to the mall is just a dream about going to the mall, and a dream about a three-headed, serpent-tailed, fire-breathing, winged goat is just a dream about a three-headed, serpent-tailed, fire-breathing winged goat. It means nothing. Some might say otherwise, but that is what I believe.

Anyways a few days ago whilst I was out of town, I had a dream about a boat that was grounded in the middle of the Colorado Rockies (weird since I've never been there), then I was in Congress and a guy was set on fire.

One time I dreamed that Reptar was terrorizing my New-York style city and an old man who had a long beard and a fedora on was reading the paper while Reptar was squishing people with his terrible claws of terror. I was flying through buildings and eventually woke up after everybody in the city had been squished paper thin.

The one thing that a lot of people don't know about dreams is that, when you are dreaming, you are tripping hardcore off of DMT, the most powerful and potent psycoactive and hallucinogenic substance known to man. It's also one of the most illegal substances in the United States, under Schedule 1 drugs. During REM sleep, this substance is pumped into your brain from your pineal gland. It's also released when you die, and when you are born and until about 28 days after that.

So in a nutshell, everyone and many many plants are illegal. You are illegal, I am illegal.. well according to the United States government. What a great country..

I had a lucid dream about 1 week ago, it was some crappy dream which had some people in it set in some foggy scene and not very exciting.

2 days beforehand I read that in a dream to be concious and realise that your in a dream you have to do some things

Clinch your fist and look at it, close your nose and see if your breathing still and some more which I forgot. So I clinched my fist in the dream and looked down on it , that's when I realised I was dreaming.

So the next thing I read is to how to start flying in a dream; what it basically is, is you just start jumping in the dream and with each jump push higher.

So I tried that, but my conciousness was going a bit I think, but I remember making myself jump up and higher and remaining in the air for quiet a while then landing and jumping up again. Really good feeling to fly.

A friend to all is a friend to none.

Has anyone here had the same dream they've had before(which always seems to be the bad ones...) and you know what's going to happen?

I hate those. :ohnoes:

They are reoccuring dreams. A lot of people get them. In fact, I get them all the time. I think it's a phsychological thing where the brain is being bothered by something specific and cannot get rid of it. Yeah, a lot of them are bad or scary. I find them very unsettling :uhh:

Never take life too seriously, nobody gets out alive.

Most of my dreams are nightmares.

Fortunately I have a very rational subconscious I guess? So when impossible things

start happening in a dream, I always realize, "Oh. I'm dreaming." Then I can calmly enjoy the

rest of it. Makes for pretty boring dreams though.

However I am a realist and therefore know that I probably wont be able to.

Well, a while back, I had a really freaky dream involving meter-tall, 4 foot wide yellow&black spiders, an opera house, people being decapitated, and a shotgun... Don't ask me what made me dream that, because tbh I don't remember anything about the night before.. #-o

There is no meaning or truth in life but that which we create for ourselves.

Once, when I was little, I had this dream where I was running through this chain-linked fence maze, and those scouts from Sailor Moon were chasing me, looking maniacal.

Needless to say, I don't think I've watched the show since then.

This is so messed up...my mind is one sick and twisted place.

I was on one of those fancy tour buses, going somewhere. I was sitting with my best friend Rebecca, just talking and stuff. Then out of nowhere, a giant cow steps on the bus. We climb out, but then she gets eaten by a giant rubber chicken. And that's not the wierd part. So I'm screamin my head off, then I wake up in my room. Or so I think(still dreaming here people). I walk out of my room to tell my mom about my dream. I start talking to her, and she turns into a freakin' cowboy and starts screamming "YEEHAW!" and line dancing. Finally, I wake up for real.

I still don't know why that happened. It was so freakish, I woke up in a cold sweat. My mind is one twisted place. :-#
