When i was in my leeson on friday (the lesson that we have all afternoon, one of my options), we was doing our coursework, and i had already finished mine. Well i was doing thr next section, and this kid came over to me and said "can I just borrow this sheet please?", i said yeh, because I thought he would just need to get some tips from it.

 

 

 

About five minutes later, i went over to him because my teacher had asked for all the courseowkr in, and i found out that he was copying the sheet out word to word. I said "are you going to put that into your own words after?", and he said yes.

 

 

 

About 2 minutes later, when I had returned to my seat, I saw him printing it out, and I dont think that he would of been able to put it into his own words that fast.

 

 

 

About 5 minutes later, I heard the teacher say to the whole class "if i see anyone who has any work the same as anyone elses, Ill put a cross through both pieces of work.

 

 

 

Its just worring me that he will put a cross though my coursework, could anyone give me any things to stop me worying please? Because I dont really want this to wreck my summer holidays.

Haha, I used to always 'borrow' course works but i actually would put it into my own words. I did it a couple of times to my mate and got a better mark :D .

 

 

 

But if he has copied it word for word then you need to just tell your teacher the truth, that you thought he was borrowing it for tips but it turns out he copied it.

 

 

 

You are not in the wrong now and won't be if you tell the truth but otherwise you will be.

The guy is an idiot, tell him to write his own work if he refuses just lamp him.

Clearly this prat isn't a mate of yours otherwise he wouldn't copy it word for word, so if you get caught just tell your teacher what happened and I'm sure your teacher will know that the guy who copied off you is stupid, 1. for copying you in the first place, and 2. for copying you word for word.

 

 

 

And don't worry about it, god just wait 'til you start work which isn't marked by your teachers but governing boards and you have no chance of making excuses with poor work.

If you DO get in crap for it, just tell the teacher he took it and photo copied it. I mean...It's true, he did. It isn't your fault if he cheated.

Usually its the BIG dump people that copy your tests, screwing your chances of smashing him up....But i'm not you...

1. Only let your friends copy your paper.

 

 

 

2. never use the same exact words as the original. (applies to the idiot)

 

 

 

3. If your friend copies off your paper you have the right to copy of his another time.

Anyway, did you even confront him when you saw him printing to make sure? If I was you, I would see that teacher a.s.a.p and tell him what happened, as it is better doing something about it instead of just waiting it out to see a big cross through your work.

OK, it would be nice if some people on this thread grew up and got literal. Come on, guys - lavingator's got a problem and all you guys care about is post count and spamming...

 

 

 

Anyway, if it were me, I probably wouldn't have let anybody take my paper in the first place. And if I would have, I probably would have been suspicious the whole time and not believed that he was going to put it in his own words later. However, at the point you are at right now - I would tell the teacher that you thought he was going to "get some tips" off of the paper, but he copied it and lied to you.

Rule 1 of helping people. Never EVER give your physical work to the other person. Always help them verbally so they learn better. Showing them answers to give them tips almost never works. Therefore, never let another person see your work.

Just inform your teacher. Did you really need me or anybody else to tell you that?

solution - don't let other people copy you, make them do their own damn work.

Well as I see it, he isn't bright seeing as he needed to copy your work. Therefore, if you are obviously more intelligent than this kid (which I assume you are as he picked you to steal work from) and this teacher has been teaching you for a sufficient amount of time, the teacher will be able to deduce that it is your work and not his.

 

 

 

If this doesn't work out, well I guess you've learnt a valuable lesson (which, I imagine, isn't really consoling for you at this present time).

Never give your work to people you don't know, they just see you as an object to get a good mark. I just let friends copy me and I copy them.

You need to tell your teacher that you gave your sheet to him so he can get tips off it and instead he copied the whole thing.

I'd come up to him and start yelling at him and bust him in front of the whole class.

Don't lend your sheets in the first place. It's common sense, looks like you'll learn the hard way? Pray to be lucky.

As someone who was always cursed with this problem (it's not my fault I was more intelligent than anyone in my school...), I would suggest telling the teacher of the plagairism before (s)he gives the marks back. That way, your story's credible. Also, ask her/him to cover it up by saying not metnioning that you grassed him. Then you just gotta act in front opf the guy that copied you.

 

 

 

Problem solved. He should believe you. I know it's awkward, but you just gotta learn to say, "No" to these peeps. It doesn't do them any good in the future either - they end up getting into jobs/courses that they can't deal with.

Be a backstabber and tell the teacher the story.

 

Too bad for that kid, but it's his own fault, save yourself first this time.

If I was you I would try to calmly and slowly explain to your teacher what happened, you should not be punished for someone else's bad decision. If he won't listen then go above his head to his employer he marks you badly.

 

 

 

Plus I would never give away answers and I would tell him before he grades, but thats just me.

I dont see my teacher again until Friday though, and I hardly EVER see him outside of lessons.

 

 

 

The guy just asked if he could borrow it, so I thought that he would just need it to see how I had done the sheet, I didnt think that he would cpoy it word to word.

 

 

 

Oh, and btw, I dont tihnk my teacher would understand if I told him anyway.
