I've seen it before from Google. Their error messages are usually pretty amusing.

Actually, I'm pretty sure it's real. That is one of the differences between General American and General British English - General American refers to the single group while General British refers to the collective group members.

Back on topic: nice error message. I almost wish I got those again if they're that good nowadays (still not quite though :P ).

Before they fixed it, on google maps you could get directions from new york to paris, and on step 24 it would say "Swim across the Atlantic Ocean"

Thats alot like this :XD:

The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours.

I could have sworn 'team' was singular, thus justifying the 'has'. Oh well...

What he said. Team is singular, therefore has would be correct.

And btw, REALLY?? I thought for sure it was real!

Sorry if this has been already posted, but it isn't a fake. A team of highly trained monkeys have...? No. A team is singular, therefore it is has instead of have. If it were 5 highly trained monkeys have been dispatched, Have would be correct. But it is a team.
