Can you complete Runescape?

Recommended Posts

this is not a literal thread...but in your mind, do you think quest cape, all music tracks and 99 on all skills is completed?

or do you think that no matter how hard you try,you just cant complete it no matter what?

Discuss.

* all skills to 200m (since you can't gain any more exp at this point)

* Max cash - Money cap is said to have been raised

* All quests complete

* All random complete (including challange scrolls)

* Had ALL rare drops (including visage, dark bow etc...)

* All music unlocked

* All emotes unlocked

* All minigames complete (full CW sets, full void etc...)

In the true definition of "Completed" I guess you'd need to do the following;

* all skills to 200m (since you can't gain any more exp at this point)

* 2.1b cash in bank (max cash)

* All quests complete

* All random complete (including challange scrolls)

* Had ALL rare drops (including visage, dark bow etc...)

* All music unlocked

* All emotes unlocked

* All minigames complete (full CW sets, full void etc...)

I'm sure I've missed stuff, but you get the drift.

I agree with harrington. There is SO much to accomplish, and extremely difficult to obtain all of it, but eventually, if you play pretty much all your life, you could complete it.

No. Not even if you have achieved this..

you haven't completed the game, there are plenty things to do. You can't complete this game, it's not made to be completed.

There are always new updates. Even if someone did 'complete' the game, then there would be something new out after.

Yep. Simply, you just can't complete the game. Even if you get a quest cape, a new quest is released each month, so the game could never be fully completed. And if you do happen to get every skill to 200m (Not only would Zezima get owned :P), but once a new skill would come out, you'd have to get that to 200m.

However, in our own personal opinions of 'completed', mine might be to just get the quest point at one time, and that would mean I completed the game to me. I suppose it varies from player to player.

I know... read the last sentence you quoted.

I'd say that once you've completed all of your personal goals, you have beaten the game.

Of course, the nature of the game is such that once you've done that you'll have new goals, and so on.

I may be immature, but that made me laugh!

You can't. To complete it, you need to have all items. Interacted and examined everything. Been in each square. Done all minigames. It's ulmost impossible...

Dragon Drops : Axe, Shield Left Half

Dk drops : Axe, Zerker (X3)

Barrow drops : Torag Plate (X3), Ahrim Robeskirt, Dharok Legs

GWD drops : Sara Sword, Bandos Tassets, Zammy Spear

I suppose that this depends on what you take 'completed' to mean.

In my opinion, completing the game would be doing all the quests, getting 99 everything, getting on your own (not buying) all the items in the game, unlocking all the music, getting the top white knight rank, ect ect ect.

So therefore, yes it probably is possible to complete runescape, and zezima and others (in my opinion) prabably already have.

A rs player can never complete this game, not before Jagex ceases to update it. You'd have to be a cyborg, online 24/7, never resting, to accomplish that in a reasonable amount of time (say, a few years). No updates = no runescape. So this is most likely an impossible quest. :roll:

However, what Harrington listed is pretty near to what completion would mean.

It is possible, just that it's going to take a very, very long time. Plus you'll complete RS, but it'll become imcomplete the next day due to a update. :P

What does rare drops have to do with beating runescape? :-k

I'd say allskills 99, all music, and all quests beat is enough to say you beat runescape.

I'm planning on beating RS. This time next year I will be prepared to start my 'industry placement' at Jagex as part of my university course. Jagex of course does not know this yet, but it will happen. Once there, I shall use my awesome JAGEX MOD POWERS to create an account known as 'Mod Mayjest', who has 99 in everything including the two as yet unreleased skills, all mini quests and regular quests completed and is invincible against everything. No matter what bit of the game you mention, my character will have done it. Heck, he'll have done Barbarian Assault solo...

Of course, my character will have done this, not me personally. But I'll be with 'Mod Mayjest' in spirit.

Goals to get my skills back up to a barely respectable level on the high scores:

Currently going for Bone to Peaches spell. It's amazing how boring doing the same repetitive task is! Stupid MTA

It's not done until you're done with it.

Two men were walking through the forest. When they got out, they saw a war. One said cool, and ran forward, the other turned back. Later, both envied the other's decision. Who was right?
