i dont know about the dragon kite and plate..........

 

out of the dragon items jagex has made jokes pretty much on just these two items (dragon spinning plates and droping the two sheild halves on the ground)

I think Jagex have changed it so that the Dragonkin are now the creators of Dragon weapons and armour, but originally it was dragonite metal and it was forged by the Mahjarrat in Frenesskae. It's meant to be a metal that has some magical essence to it, by that I mean, it's perhaps a metal that is created through magic, rather than something you would find in rocks.

 

 

 

It was brought into Gielenor when the Mahjarrat fought in the God wars, when they died, human's found their weapons and armour and prized it for being remarkably strong and durable and I guess somewhere along the line humans must of got cocky with their big shiny red swords and chain mail and decided that it must mean they can fight things like the KQ and that's how those monsters got them :)

jagex itself told once that they will NEVER make Dragon full helm, kite or plate.. still they did them.. liars! :D

rather than dragons i think we will see other alternative monsters like dust devils.They would only be level 150 but the chances of a platebody kite or better dragon boots and picaxe =P~ would be more than the chances of getting a chain at dust devils.It would be immensly rare if they went upto runite.most players are killing one a trip,level 126's manage 3-4 most of the time.

There wouldnt be any dragon(kin) dragons. We have bronze, iron, steel, mithril, adamantite and runite bars. So we will get only those dragons. No black metal-dragons and no dragon metal-dragons.

 

 

 

Dragon boots will probably be some new slayer monster(just like other boots).

As everyone pretty much knows, the Dragon Full Helm has been released along with the Mithril Dragon. With the Mithril Dragon dropping the helm, do you expect there will be a similar thing like this in the future. Perhaps in the future, an Adamant Dragon (say level 350 or so, just estimating) will drop the Dragon Kiteshield and a Rune Dragon (say level 400) is released and will drop the Dragon Platebody.

Do you expect for more Dragon items to be released in the future along with new armor based Dragons?

 

 

 

My answer: I can't say for sure it may happen, because I have heard that Jagex wasn't going to release any more Dragon items (like back then RS), but they had released the helm. Not to mention last month, there was the Dragon Arrows. Anything is possible, but if a Dragon Kiteshield and a Dragon Platebody are released, it might be a while before we see that release.

Well i'm pretty sure their releasing the Dragon pickaxe because the first day of the update the D pick was on the mining chart for pickaxes only lasted about 5 minutes though.

 

 

 

So i'm hoping for that 1

 

 

 

But after the release of the DFH now they might have a plate or a kite but if they look like the DFH i won't want 1 because thats 1 ugly thing!

Though it is always nice to have new high-level foes and new loot, the coming of more and more dragon items highlights a very basic problem in runescape balance.

 

 

 

Nowdays, most combat-related dragon items are moslty "showoff", rather then really usefull for high levels. Barrow items are better then dragon items, and with their prices going down and poh making fixing them much cheaper, most lv80-85 players will sooner or later get them. The range of levels in which dragon items are the best choise is quite small, and since the new dragon items will sure be expensive (dropped from lv350+ future dragons), most of those medium level players wont be able to get them before they will start using barrow items anyway.

 

 

 

Conclusion: the only possible usefull dragon item that can be released in future is the pickaxe, The others are mostly status symbols - cause barrow items + whips will always be better, and their prices aren't that high (not to mention - easier to get).

 

 

 

Another point: new dragon itmes will "help" making p2p smithing even worse then its current condition. Runite is becoming more and more medium or even medium-low level equipment. Smithing is nearly the only skill, in which you need lv90+ skill to create items used mainly by lv40-60 players... the only usefull smithing items nowday are range-oriented or alching products - neither armors nor weapons. If jagex wished to extend dragon items further, they must also consider smithing's fate.

I don't see a point in Jagex more solely combat based dragon armor. Except for legs, every part of equipment has a good substitute out there with a str bonus. Everyone wants str bonus, not more defence bonus. Yeah, str is the thing out there now. :roll: Thus unless Jagex release dragon items with str bonus, there is no way they will become a popular used item, what is the point then? If you want def, barrows. Otherwise, go for these str bonus items. Dragon items are uneeded now, but was useful years ago. :|

i doubt the kite will com out. I think the pl8 will come out at a MONSTER not little dragon. A real monster like the kalphite queen. And i think dragon boots and pick are coming out as a drop for addy and rune drags.

no, i dont think that there will be higher metal drags... especialy seeing how though miths are #-o maby there will a kalphite king that drops plate? :thumbsup: and im thinking that a special slay monster will drop d boots... and as far as kite, i think that df sheild kinda takes care of that. there may be hope for a dragon defender tho.... :

In answer to your questions, yes the items will be released. Yes adamant and runite dragons will be released. Its the progress of the game to have full dragon come out.

OK so far, I have seen many people saying this or that about what monster will drop which dragon items. IF by any chance Jagex ends up releasing the dragon plate, another good suggestion would be creating a monster that surpasses the Kalphite Queen (one that would take a team to kill like KQ). After all, if the KQ drops the Dragon Chainmail, why not make a monster that surpasses her and drops the platebody? Merely a thought if Jagex does end up releasing the plate.

I like the idea of a quest similar to Dragon Slayer to get your hands on the Dragon Plate. Runite Dragon Slayer. It could work. You have to kill the Runite Dragon, but all it drops is a voucher (and you can only kill it once, similar to Elvarg). This voucher could then be exchanged for the plate, or even be the key to starting new quest... which then gives you the plate.

 

 

 

In a similar way to Recipie for Disaster being several quests within one quest, maybe they could do the same for this?

rune dragons will be nearly inpossible to solo... or only 1 a trip... (cost 100k a trip for all pots, food and runes you need to kill them)

dragon armor needs a special attribute too it (like when u wear full borrows u get a special attribute) well maybe dragon (wearing full dragon and using a b axe) u get a big strength bonus increase, or if u use it with a sword, an attack bonus increase, and with a mace a defense bonus increase (like, wearing full dragon with diffrent weapons gives u diffrent increases in diffrent numbers)

their will never be a strength bonus or special effect on dragon items because theyre stock in the armour tabel.

unless they make us have to create weapons and armour which negates a lot of their attack like the fremenik isles quest then they will just be impossible to kill on youre own unless they have a weakness to exploit.

 

 

 

i think a new dust devil type monster is the way to go unless they add one part of the kiteshield in say a monkey madness sequal and the other a monster drop rarer than sqaure sheild but i think metal dragons will end at mithril.

uhh, i thought *dragon* armor was made by the gods and held magical properitys, i dont see why they cant give it a special ability when ur weilding certain weapons and equip a whole set of it. as a matter of fact i got a big idea that i might just go post on RS suggestions forum....

Full helm, Plate, Legs/skirt (bring back arvok *i belive his name was*)/and current high end shield+specified weapon

 

 

 

and according to the weapon youll get a special Combat related attribute boost or somthin.

 

 

 

currently, for dragon suppost too be as *good* as its suppost to be(according to lore) the peices dont fit. especially with the value of it.

Eventually there will probably be dragon kite but there wont be a d plate for ages if at all, the D chain is still too rare.

 

 

 

I hope they release a lvl 95 slayer monster with dragon boots.
