Genophobia* Is a funny one :uhh: but personally I have a phobia of heights that are untamed(?) I also used to have social phobia/social anxiety, but I got rid of it to an extent and still getting rid of the remains. To say the least, it's the kind of phobia that can ruin a persons' life. A few experiences I had when I was about 8-9 made me very scared of scorpions. I'm mostly over that part of my phobia, though. Noted raw mackerel drop... Wtfh? fakeitormakeit Posted July 12, 2007 Share Posted July 12, 2007 Alot of phobias since in latin are easy to know what they mean because you take phobia which means fear and then say its Cryophobia, Cyro as in Cyrogenis or what ever you call freezing people, you know Cyro has to do with freezing or cold so its fear of freezing or extreme cold. If you don't know what a word means just look at the beginning and end and divide it up and think of other words you know of that have similiar parts to it. -Aeroacrophobia=Fear of open high places -Aichmophobia= Fear of needles or pointed objects -Anginophobia = Fear of narrowness or choking -Asthenophobia =Fear of fainting or weakness -Athazagoraphobia =Fear of being forgotton or ignored or forgetting -Catagelophobia =Fear of being ridiculed -Cleisiophobia =Fear of being locked in an enclosed place -Cryophobia =Fear of extreme cold, ice or frost -Dementophobia =Fear of insanity -Dishabiliophobia=Fear of undressing in front of someone(its more of a privacy thing) -Eremophobia =Fear of being oneself or of lonliness -Harpaxophobia =Fear of being robbed -Hobophobia =Fear of bums or beggars -Hoplophobia =Fear of firearms -Isolophobia =Fear of solitude, being alone -Merinthophobia =Fear of being bound or tied up -Soteriophobia =Fear of dependence on others(I'm not dependent on others, I just fear it because I'm a very proud person) -Xyrophobia=Fear of razors Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
