Bit of a play on words for the title there.

 

 

 

Do you think being pure makes you arogant? In some cases I think that it does, but in others i do not. I have two RS friends that had normal accounts then decided to go pure. The first one decided to have a mage and range pure, now on his old account we used to talk a lot, but since he got his pure account he just doesn't seem to care.

 

 

 

The second friend decided to go skiller pure from his other account, now we still talk as much as we used to on his other account.

 

 

 

So, is it because he is pure mage/range or just because he has turned ignorant, I'm not sure because I know a lot of pures that are really quite nice, and alot that are not.

I would say it depends on the person.

 

 

 

I've always been a rather short-tempered yet usually nice person, polite as long as the other person/people were.

 

 

 

I've not seen many "combat" pures be polite, hence I don't really hold the general aspect in high regard. I know a few that are fine, yes, but for the moment I consider them to the aberration in combat pures, not the other way around.

Just because the one guy decided to become a pure and stopped talking to you at the same time doesn't mean that him becoming a pure had anything to do with the lack of conversation, in the same way that the fact that global temperatures have risen while the number of pirates have decreased doesn't mean that a lack of pirates causes global warming. 'Nuff said.

I don't think the type of account you have defines your attitude, it's just the person.

Yep, as everyone said before me, it depends on the person. Some people understand the value of friendship, others don't.

They both happened to make a type of pure yes, they both got old yes.

 

 

 

One grew up into someone who doesn't wish to talk to you,that does not really make them ignorant, more anti-social

These events of growing up and making pures and completely exclusive

yes most pures are ignorant in my stereotypical oppinion.

I would have to agree. Of the names that made my ignore list, i would say a bit over 1/4 of them were pures that had a ignorant attitude, and thought they were better than everyone. I am not saying all pures are ignorint, but think if it this way. Maybe taking advantage of the combat system with a pure is like the real life problem of teasing (or bullying). The fact is, is they have something lacking, and need to make that up by killing others. That is just my opinion though, so dont take it to heart.

Actuly, i think he means more that the ignorant people make the pures, not that all pures are ignorant. lol, thought I would clear that up! :D

50% of pures are jerks, but none that I know are, because if they were a jerk I wouldn't get to know them :P

 

 

 

Most every skiller I have seen is polite, and easier to have a conversation with most of the time.

But mainly I guess it's all about the person and not the account.

Some of my pk pure friends rarely talk to me because of all the time they spend in the wild. They usually turn private chat onto friends, but they don't respond to me when I pm them. If its a skiller pure, its the same, unless if they're going rune mining, but i don't have any friends that do that. :(

I assume he hasn't finished training his pure? That could be the problem there.

 

 

 

It's not the skills you train that makes you ignorant, I think this is more of a case of detirmination. Your friend is very detirmined to train his pure, so he is ignorant to his friends because he is impatient to complete his goal(that being finishing training his pure).

some pures are impolite and some bash/flame but for me i take what is thrown at me and throw it back, if someone gives me bs i'll bs them back.

 

I work in sales and me and my friends motto is, if the customer doesn't give a "F" then im not going to either. its that simple, i dont go out to beat down noobs straight off tut island, i go out for FUN and the chance to get some items while im at it.

 

 

 

i know alot of pures that hate most everyone for the simple fact that alot of ppl hate pures, lol it wont stop i don't think, what it comes down to is i have chosen not to level a stat and you did, now, use it to your advatage or die. and i hate ppl that go on about how i should train def on my pure i usually tell them to go lvl farming cause they are a farming pure but that usually just annoys them ( i have 40 farming on my pure)

If anything, I'd suggest that the person (or type of person) would dictate what sort of character someone would create. Therefore the original account and the way they communicated may have been different to how they normally would have been ... probably because multiple skilling takes time and can be a lot of waiting around, so lots of chat time.

As a lot of people said before, it depends on the person.Maybe he is always in the wildy and he hasn't time to talk to you, maybe he didn't add you and just doesn't remember you were a great friend of him.

Not exactly true. Most of the skillers I know like to get their own resources. Some are in quite dangerous areas. May not be little kids "RC Pking" at the abyss dangerous or wildy dragons "pkers";) but level 200+ critters (brutal greens) but there are dangers nonetheless :P

I belive its the person, not the type of account they make. But most of the time pures are ignorant...its sad IMO
