this is pretty frustrating.. but i'm up to number 3 now.

Ok, I'm up to number 4 now, I think. But I'm seriously wondering if I'm at a dead end.. If someone who has gone to a dead end before could tell me if this is what it looks like, that would be nice.

i got a red herring lol, it came up with an error page, maybe you aren't at a dead end

Out of interest, is it literally a red herring?

I'm confused, twice it has sent me to pages with no quote text, only a picture and a solution.

 

 

 

The first one was a white wall with switches and a tv with coloured static buzzing.

 

 

 

Then I put another answer in and I got the winged angel, then it sent me to a picture with no text quote again with some kind of demon child face with red eyes and funky writing when you hover over it.

I'm also on the demonic face, its so hard I think I'm meant to translate the bit in " s but I can't, I tried it backwards, entered it into an anagram solver, unless its another language

You guys have it lucky so far... i'm now currently trying to translate morse code, I got by the angel and a few others, but it all appears to be pointless, because it's a bunch of random words and letters. I'll keep going and see if I have to turn it backwards or not, but it may be a dead end.

I just started copying in words from the definition, and then I got a message saying "Deja Vu?" Then I tried to close to screen since it scared me [cabbage]less less for some reason... Then this thing with an angel sitting in the woods came up, with words at the bottom...

 

 

 

For some reason this just really creeps me out, I'm stopping now.

Well originally I thought It was a gas mask. So I wiki'd it, but nothing turned up. So I put in "man in mask" and there was no pictures. :o But I'm surprised your mom is crying and such. My mom thought it was creepy and told me it was evil. Lol.

I spereated and added one part. Although I havent even gotten through the first part, I can tell you that the second part of the message is location, I dont know what the first part is...

Edit: as for the masked man.... It does look very familiar. I tried getting up close to read the letters, but they are too faded to read, and i can make out more then 2 words at a time which dont give me good idea of what it means. I'm gonna ask around and see what i can find. For some reason, each time i go to look at the picture, I almost have to brace myself for what is to come....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Update/edit: Still haven't asked anyone, but I "stopped" the animation in the background, which made the picture less fuzzy on a closer inspection. There are some words which seem to be english, but some which seem to be a different language.... but to me it looks german. Could possibly be a gas mask, but thats alot different then any ive ever seen. Looks like it was specifically made to terrify someone.

Oh and I never noticed the words in the background. Most were way too faded for me too read, as you said. You are right though, the mask does seem like it was mad to terrify someone. Gah, it's driving me nuts. I know I'll get nightmares from looking at it all day today though. >_>
