Useless weapons

I've been thinking about some of the weapons in the game that nobody uses, and I think jagex should either change their stats or take them out of the game. For instance weapons like:

 

 

 

Warhammers

 

Short Swords

 

Javelins

 

Spears

 

Throwing Axes

 

Claws

 

 

 

What do you think?

im still wondering why they dont make dragon throwing axes lol they have everything of dragon weapon now (nearly everything)

I'd add Hastas to that list... about as much use as an inflatable dartboard.

Sorry but thats the point of having weapons, be it weak or strong. Having more diverse weapons makes this game seems more rpgish.

 

 

 

Also I don't find the benefit of taking it out of the game as some weapons actually have a use.

Warhammers are good against people with full rune, but their strength bonus should be higher...

Warhammers arn't good. I feel that Battle Axes are better because they have both a crush and slash option.

Just because the items r weak doesn't mean they need stat boost and should be taken out. Shadow sword, all the rfd weapons, gadder hammer, the weapons pirates sell, and much much more should be taken out? No, just because no one uses it doesn't mean they should be taken out, Just play the game its not like it affects u

Why would you drop it? I seriously spent like 2 hours trying to find a rune warhammer to do a clue.. was junk.. but once you have one, you can use it forever :o

i agree that warhammers are underused but if they released a dragon one then it could be the death of the d mace and a new way of training strength.100+ strength attack without str bonus's/

 

 

 

hastas are useful if you use poisen rune def and other armour its pretty accurate theoretically mneaning you hit very often although its pretty useless.

 

 

 

javelins and throwing axes are used rarely although i see people at dks using them.

 

 

 

anyway claws have to teh the worst,who uses them?no one

i would like to see claws more useful, maybe hit really fast when u first wield them and slowly hit slower (like if u where fighting, fatigue sets in so u swing slower)

 

 

 

but they should actually be able to do some damage too -_- heh

I agree a littke with you. There are a few weapons that Jagex could remove from the game, but there is a few people that uses these weapons. They're not many, but I wouldn't be happy if someone removed my favourite weapon; The rune longsword...

Acutally non members use some of those weapons. Well I think they can use warhammers. But they use short swords alot. And some begining members use spears and hastas have a use because they can be used with a sheild. Javalins are bad but they have their use. And The rune throwing axe special is really good. And beginging members use claws to and if you have the right outfit they look awsome :thumbsup:

alot of those weapons were used in rsc... at least I remember useing mace, battle axe, 2h, skim, hammer and long... all weapons had the same speed and bonus against different types of armor...

Jagex can't take out short swords, what will the newbies at tutorial island use? :)

 

And warhammers do have a use, its just that its so inflexible (every weapon has 2 attack styles, warhmmer has only crush), ppl tend not to use it.

Yeah, I agree. The problem is that weaknesses (crush, stab, slash) seem to matter so little that it's only about damage/min, which the fast stuff owns at. If only the bonuses could be upped...

I'd hope they make all Rune and lower weapons f2p one day so that they can enjoy the less used ones members use.

 

 

 

Most members seem to have lost the sense of fun from using a les used pweapon, just sticking with a strong but pretty boring one.
