RpgGamer
I personally don't think homosexuality is right. I honestly think I'm a male homophobic. I used to feel the same way. But then I questioned it. I asked what the big deal was. Then I came to the conclusion that there's really no harm in it, and that it was perfectly fine. Later I realised the only reason why I ever thought it was wrong was because everyone around me thought it was wrong. Basically I only didn't like it because everyone else didn't like it. And that is no reason to feel that way about anything. Homosexuality is fine in my book  Quote Quote Anyone who likes tacos is incapable of logic. Emmentail
Most of the "lesbians" on these internet sites are just straight girls who really want some cash. Right/Wrong? I couldn't care less. They definitely play into the converting fantasies that everyone has. Pretty brilliant imo.

Guest
Even as a christian, (Not strongly, kind of forced on me), I support homosexuality. I never quite understood why people took it as a sin, other then that the bible makes a short blab about it. But the bible wasn't writen by who these people worship, but followers. In otherwords, the ten commandments are the only Sins that god stated. Nothing in there about being homosexual. On an off-note, I watched "I now pronouce you Chuck and Larry" yesterday. Sy_Accursed
It's interesting skimming through this thread and seeing some fairly well known/active tip.iters happily and openly saying they are gay despite all the bible bashers etc. Especially because its not something you generally learn or even assume about runescapers as the gay stereotype and gamer stereotype have like zero overlap. It's a natural instinct you're born with not a choice. Secondly the factors you listed have NOTHING to do with sexuality. Not really, as the gay stereotype does not feature a lisp. It features a camp voice. And even then it's utter bs. The truth of the matter is most gay men are so "normal" homophobes couldn't tell the difference between them and a straight guy. Zierro
Oh no, not someone who thinks all stereotypes are bs. Rebellious teenagers have a high tendency to be atheist. Black people have a high tendency to enjoy basketball. Punks have a high tendency to do illegal things. Teenage girls have a high tendency to love talking on the phone for hours. People with lisps or camp voices or whatever have a high tendency to also be gay. There's a reason stereotypes exist. People didn't just throw some darts to decide which stereotypes go to which groups of people. It starts with somebody thinking they see a pattern, sharing their opinion, others agreeing with them about the same pattern, thus becoming accepted into society. It's impossible for something like "skateboarding is a grandma thing" to become a stereotype because it takes a lot of people to agree with it in order for it to become one. Now are all stereotypes truthful? No. There have probably been some cases where stereotypes have arisen from nothing more than mere coincidences, but this isn't the case for most of them. I've only ran into a few people who had lisps/that certain voice. The majority of them were gay, the minority were straight. It's possible for this to be a coincidence, but it's more likely that it isn't. The truth of the matter is most gay men are so "normal" homophobes couldn't tell the difference between them and a straight guy. I agree with that. I'm not saying gay people usually have lisps. I'm saying people with lisps are usually gay. PS: I don't think there is anything wrong with having that voice or being gay. My argument is merely that the stereotype has some truth to it. Yes when people initial come up with them absed on thoose around them there may be some truth to them, but on a global scale they are wrong 9/10 times. Zierro
but on a global scale they are wrong 9/10 times. A stereotype is an empirical generalization. You just made one with that sentence. Me_Hate_Libs
Homosexuality isn't really wrong, unless you're a Christian. I'm a christian, but I think it is ok. I'm the "interpret the bible in your own way" Christian. I (unlike other belief-fundamentalists) think for myself. "Our" God is one of love, and that is what sexuality (in all its forms) is all about. God is supposed to love everybody. The bible is an ancient book, some stuff might be lost in translation, and it shouldn't be taken literally. IMO, it's a book full of metaphors, and guidelines (not rules) on how to live "properly". That being said, I still find it awkward when I see 2 guys making out. I can't help it. And, along the same line, I'm quite the hypocrit just like Das. But then again, there's a lot of hypocrisy in Catholicism, so that fits  A Christian who thinks for themselves is a bit of a contradtiction in terms isn't it? lol Anyway, I think most people don't want to watch two guys make out because guys are gross. Girls are beautiful and two girls having sex is a very attractive site. Two guys having sex tends to be a lot of grunts and sweating. Ugh. :-# This website and its contents are copyright © 1999 - 2010 Jagex Ltd.
