I feel sorry for Jagex... :`(

Well, today was the release of the much awaited god wars dungeon, the most anticipated update so far this year (IMO).

 

 

 

I've been to the dungeon and sat around in the bandos bosses room with a ton of high levels KO'ing him (picture below), and ive joined the war between the bandos and the zamorackians. (I also even almost got KO'd by the saradomins, but my ring of life saved me :lol:

 

 

 

Anyways, what i found kind of depresing is that when i went on the Rs official forums, i looked in the recent updates, compliments, and rants section.

 

 

 

In the recent updates section, i didn't see one person who thuoght Jagex did a great job and were thanking them, all i saw were people complaining about this and that.

 

 

 

I then went to the rants section expecting the worse, and that's what i found. TONS of threads of people ranting about the bosses or the monsters or the drops. There were 90 people viewing the rants section...

 

 

 

Before feeling too bad, i went to the compliments section of the forums...YIKES :uhh:

 

 

 

There were only 2 people in the compliments section and NOT ONE thread complimenting the God wars dungeon.

 

 

 

Now im not saying that this is the greatest update of all time, but i do think that jagex worked EXTREMELY hard on this update. If nothing less it is graphically amazing (havent seen or heard on ANY glitches or bugs, and thats amazing for this huge and intense of an update), programed very well, and it is fun to go there with some friends and kill a few monsters or try out the bosses.

 

 

 

So thats what i think, props to jagex for making such an intense and cool update, even if its not the greatest, i cant see it as being something to rant about...

 

 

 

So please post your thoughts on this dungeon, and whether you think it is good/bad or something to complain/rant about.

People will always rant about an update. Unless its that everyone was giving 3 party hat sets. Then, they would rant about how bronze daggers were worth more then p hats.

RuneScape is full of 8 year old kids who blow off their homework and skip school to play. They expect to have all 99's in a month, or they will whine. They will whine about every update unless their level 3 can do it. Then, they'll whine that its too easy. They WILL ALWAYS WHINE.

The only update that I didn't see get much ranting was the new looks of people.

 

 

 

And also, the people that use the RSOF rants aren't the people that maturely play the game. When was the last time you saw a mature rant on there?

Personally, I'm just too low leveled in order to get there. So what? Should I whine about the monsters being too strong? Nope, I should restrain from going there, or I should get my combat skills higher. However, not many people think like that in RS.

 

 

 

If you have a high-leveled update, you'll get rants about it being too hard. If you have an update for the low/mid levels, you'll get rants about Jagex forgetting about the "loyal high leveled" players. If you have a Bits and Bites update, you'll get complaints about it being useless. If you have too click too much, you'll get rants about people getting CTS. If Jagex changes it so that you don't have to click that much, you'll get rants about the exp being much slower.

 

 

 

It's a never-ending cycle. Do what you do, some people will always disagree with you (Jagex, in this case). Just ignore them.

The ONLY possible update flaw that I can see with this GREAT, and MASSIVE and UNBELIEVLEABLY AWESOME update is...

 

 

 

Why O why did they have to make the boots a lvl 83 monster drop, much less so common of a monster drop? Tbh the price will be down to 500k or so in a week and a few days after that people will trade d meds for the boots.

 

 

 

I mean it currently has the most common drop rate of all dragon drops in the game, which of course will prolly be fixed as the thousands that have flown into existance today need to be slowed down, just like whips, when people finally started getting 85 slayer.

 

 

 

I mean honestly though, I did one task of 125 spiritual mages, no boots. I was a little mad but got another task, then came back

 

 

 

Literally got a pair of dragon boots about every 25 kills, 4 pairs in 123 of 128 kills that task, i mean if you ask me, they have slightly higher drop rate atm then rune boots do, which will prolly be nerfed to about the same or lower then nechs in a little while once enough are in the market. O well free 7mil for me today, (woulda been more if i hadnt fallen back asleep moments before the update)

I meant more about the discussion parts of the forum, because yes the market section is a fast way of buying/ selling but honestly your wasting your time there ranting because even if its a good rant the forums flooded with so many posts that make no sense.

I don't think the drop rate is lowered. I think less people are going for the item. It is like saying Abby Whip had a higher drop rate because there were more people killing them, thus more drops of whips happening.

There will always be ranters on the RSOF. most of them are people below lvl 70 who are made because they haven't gotten 3 god swords yet.

Its a great update.

 

 

 

Me and a buncha TIFers went on an expedition to k0 the armadyl boss: It was pretty easy, for me at least. I hear Iwatake got hit for a 65, but I couldn't see him at the time, the stupid fat bird was in the way. Anyway, It was the most fun I've ever had fighting a boss. The three bodyguards kept us on our toes, even if they were alot weaker than the big momma (Levels 155 compared to 550-ish.)

 

 

 

Jagex did very well on this update, and I hope for more like it geared toward high levels in the future. It rules, and will keep me entertained for a long time :)

tbh the people on the rsof think that runescapes hardest task is castle wars. They dont appreiciate how long it takes jagex to make these updates. (sorry for spelling)

obne of the rants i saw was someone complaining that these bosses should be easy to kill because hes killed jad and these are a lower level.

 

 

 

we need more boss monsters which require teams to stay.not just 2 people in veracs killing th kq but 7-12 people slogging it out .that certainly seems to applie for the big armadyll bird and that flying woman in the saramodin area.i love this update and i cant wait to go down when im a higher level to go kick some cheek
