Bandos Boots: Good defense, better (slightly) then Dragon boots, but no Strength bonus, which you'd expect for boots these days, as well as Bandos equipment normally giving strength bonus. Bug?

 

 

 

 

 

no i dont think its a bug, the legs give +2 expecting the boots to, at least +1 would be hard to justify.

the bandos chest is kind of like a brassard with [bleep]es. it looks sweet.

combat is really getting complicated, the problem now is that we're dying too fast. Will we start seeing hp raising equipment?

And actually it's getting quite good as the combat system is becoming more 3-dimensional. There is no longer a 'perfect inventory for all occasions'.

:o Thats why Bandos armor is so expensive. I was wondering why it was so much, it gives a str bonus! Man, I'd bring the God Sword with the ice barrage. Its a good if you have a 40+ BILLION bank and are almost dead. spec and run.

I would buy the God Sword even if it had horrible stats. It looks AWESOME.

Buying all 3 shards will cost you around 30m (actually anywhere between 25m and 35m really)

 

 

 

The Hiklt prices follow pretty much the pattern of how much damage the spec can do, highest damage is most expensive:

 

Armadyl between 23m and 28m (rising in price already)

 

Bandos between 21 and 27m (rising slightly in price)

 

Saradomin between 16m and 20m (dropped a bit already)

 

Zamorak between 15m and 20m (ditto)

 

 

 

The 2 major gods still missing (who btw never actually met) are Guthix and Zaros...

Actually thats not true, Zaros is present, but in the form of Zamorak.

 

Dont forget, Zamorak was once a general of Zaros before he betrayed him, before or during the time of this war.

 

 

 

Also. "Armadyl is the predecessor, and an ally, of Saradomin" Which its strange to see them fighting here since their allys, or perhaps they wernt allies, and Saradormin backstabbed Armadyl as well?

Guthix is, Guthix. He has no warriors or followers per say. Non-Combat Druids and Seers are "unofficial" followers.

Very good post, But do you not think that the rarity of the Godsword (also have to get at least 4 parts) will make this a very rare PvP battle?

I reckon any version of the godsword will hold its own against a whip.

 

 

 

And you are wrong on this, the whip will easily overpower basically every Godsword because it is 2H and much slower. In the time that it takes to hit one 60-70, a pker could hit 2 30+ hits easily equaling the damage done, and not to mention the k0 threat of a nicely placed dds spec. the only way the godsword could stand its own, i agree, would be the bandos GS as it can drain stats, and also hit very high. Personally I wouldn't try pking with it, nor do i have money to waste on it at this time, although when prices drop a bit, i may consider purchasing one.

The Godsword, despite being a 2h, is the same speed as a battleaxe, therefore it is two-thirds the speed of a whip, not one-half. Of course, the whip is still capable of doing what you described, but the Godsword's second hit and the whip's third will happen at approxamately the same time, meaning that the two weapons are equally matched.

I hit a 60 with armadyl, you struggle to eat shark, i hit a 78, you drop dead.

 

Whip wont outpower a godsword becouse i wont need to eat like a mofo right after the first swing of the fight, your options are eat and miss a combat round or get 2 hit.

Go look at the other vids where godsword destroys whip users.

Recently I was in world 18 to see if anyone was pking with godsword / bandos

 

 

 

Their was a lvl 120 and 122, the 122 had a god sword. The rune pure simply got owned. He didnt hit at all, and the guy with the god sword hit 30-40, and then k0d with 2 specs which were 51 and then 41

 

 

 

Their was also a high lvl pking with bandos, against a dharocker, to keep it short the dharocker owned him.

 

 

 

I think the godsword if you want to risk it will kill the whipper, and bandos could possible k0 dharock

Some very nice stuff there, Personally, I prefer a very strong 2h weapon over a strong 1h weapon and shield. Although thats prob because my preffered weapon is a great axe.

 

 

 

Anyway, very well researched, and you're right, the little trick will help with this :D

You say that the Saradomin Sword hits slow, yet the knowlage base lists it as having a speed rating of 6. This is the same speed rating that the Abyssal whip has, so then logicaly shouldn't it attack at the same rate?

No I was wrong, I confused it with the Saradomin Godsword.

 

 

 

The Saradomin Sword hits as fast and strong as whip, but is 2handed.

 

Has a strength training option I think, since it also has a Crush attack bonus...

Could the Zamorak godsword be used as an anti-pk escape weapon? Used by abyss runners or whatnot?

 

 

 

Carry either alone or as part of a 3-item set. If you get attacked, hit opponent once, and let him sit there for 20 secs while you make a run for it.

It's possible, but I'd sooner use it as a PK weapon. It's basicly like a melee-ice barrage, so it prevents your target from getting away. I guess it could also be used the otehr way around, you getting away from them.

Well thought out, and well I don't think people will be using the steam staff much, even if it does revolutionise combination runes, its still extremely uncommon to find anyone at all who's ever made a combination rune, let alone by the 1000.

 

 

 

I don't think that the boots having no strength bonus is a bug, what would be the point in releasing two new boots in the same update where 1 pair makes the other pair obsolete. But Jagex can conuse us sometimes...

 

 

 

I don't really know much about the godswords, however, I think being able to hit 70+ damage with 1 hit will be very useful in PvP, and so I can see people using that then switching to whip + dfs, using dragonfire quickly and KO'ing with whip, opponents don't relly have a chance, especially if you start off by barraging them...

 

 

 

And using the Saradomin sword on Jad...hmm, worth a try for whoever's rich enough I guess, also means you won't need as many prayer potions and once you've attacked the healers, you should heal ebough with the sword not to have to use sara brews whilst fighting Jad, fight caves=easy.

 

 

 

And for the bandos special, well I'm not sure it's as useful as you make it out to be (I don't know how fast the skills drain, but I'm assuming it's not too quick), basically people hit so high nowadays that fights don't take long enough for the skill draining to have much of an effect on the fight. How about using it on the KQ though? Once her offensive stats decrease, you won't need to use food/prayer, so maybe it's possible to even solo her twice in one trip...Wow!!

Well, IF the Zamorak special always freezes the opponent, then it's EXTREMELY useful for CW :-k, essentially making capturing impossible.
