Well the Godsword is slow too?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Quite honestly I'm not all convinced that the Godsword is really going to put anyone that wields it through the roof an invinsible. It just matters on how they pk themselves and who they're facing.

 

 

 

A whip and dds could probably put up just as good as a fight against a Godsword.

no one is going to pk with a godsword anyway so it doesn't really matter in wildy

 

 

 

People already pk with it. It protects over everything so no fear. Melee is on top, has been for a while but this sword barely affects its spot on the triangle. Melee has 3 stats to level up, which is triple what mage or range need. Yet if you get both range and mage up you can beat melee for the most part so the triangle is still semi balanced.

GL getting 126 combat without 99 defense :D its a stat that is used in all three styles of combat. So you can argue that Melee has 3, Range has 2, Mage has 2, and Mage + Range is 3. So Mage + Range == Melee.

ice rrage only hits 30, and i feel dbow was nerfed, besides, its slow and doesnt hit 60s like god sword

 

 

 

I barrage can freeze you from a distance, and you wont be able to attack back. The dbow cant hit 60's, but It can hit 2 37's at once.

So while you all blame the GodSword, you have to be pretty foolish to attack an unskulled weilder of the God Sword ._.;

 

 

 

That means you bring it upon yourself, or they are just risking millions of gp

 

 

 

Warriors beating mages with d'hide doesn't mean mages are underpowered. It means the warrior is a hybrid pker.

 

 

 

Rangers do have crossbows, but to use the big guns, you have to pay thousands for each bolt

Just so you know, the godsword isn't a great weapon. It is basicly bringing back the old rsc "3hit K.O." pk system. You have to hit a 20 the first hit, and then a 72 the second hit before the other person eats.

Wait till we get people using Darkbow special and then whipping out the godsword for that ownage range 2h combo....

 

 

 

O and doesn't zammy freeze people in place with its special. So it only takes one special from zammy to lock mages in place and then bye bye farcasting. And D-hide absolutely owns the mages. Mages have no chance in wildy without a team.

the point of a triangle is that nothing can be on top.. its a 2D shape.. pyramids however...

 

 

 

yeah but I still think the combat triangle is still pretty balanced... godsword pwns dark bow... dark bow pwns barrages.... barrage pwns godsword because they freeze and then step back.. no godsword ownage there.....

You forgot the part where the melee guy puts on d-hide and freezes the mage with Zamorak hilt, no running away from that.

It isn't like Elder Scrolls where you get Defense xp by getting attacked and taking damage. If it was, it wouldn't be considered a melee stat. :wink:

Each style of combat has both its positives and negatives.

 

We must accept the fact that we must use all combat stats in order to adapt to the changing environment of Runescape combat. It is annoying to see people complaining on how range is overpowered, melee is overpowered, mage is underpowered. However, everyone has a choice on which class to be, or whether to mix it up. No one is forcing you to use your magic shortbow continually. And if somehow they don't update range/mage for a while, go for the combat style which is more advantageous for your situation in combat.
