mcneilp
I read an article in a newspaper about how people today view time as, kinda like a river..with the past, present and future extending before them. It also explained that time seems slower when we were younger as there were lots of new experiences which keep us occupied/interested and as we get older, our lives become more mundane and boring with time passing quickly, always trying to meet deadlines and looking forward instead of concentrating on the moment. Now, i kinda noticed how slow time seems to go when im playing Rs (Not a bad thing imo), which suggests that there are lots of new experiences/things to be done. I wouldn't exactly call myself a new player either. Also, i think the weekly updates would have a part in keeping me interested. (Small edit here :? ) So, i ask you, does time fly when you are playing Rs or do the hours after you have logged in seem like weeks? It isn't in the castle, It isn't in the mist, It's a calling of the waters, As they break to show, The new Black Death, With reactors aglow, Do you think your security, Can keep you in purity, You will not shake us off above or belowScottish frictionScottish fiction
chaosgone
Time flies for me while playing Runescape. However, having played it for the last five years, time seems to have slowed down for me, since there are updates every week or so. Which is good; I am in no hurry to get old. :) http://www.chaosgone.blogspot.com

Rainy_Day
When properly playing RuneScape, time does fly. Though when I'm just sat around, bored, with little to do, time seems to pass ever so slowly. Those are the times when I log out to find better things to do. :o ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)RIP Michaelangelopolous

dargonhuman
I've always viewed time as a roll of toilet paper; each measurable unit is the same, it seems to never run out at the beginning but there's never enough at the end, the end usually comes far sooner than expected, and more often than not, it gets filled with crap you'd rather forget. Philosophically metaphorizing (are those even words?) aside, sometimes time goes by quickly for me in rs, but not usually. Part of the Star Traks network. (^^Clicky!) llamster
Time flies when I'm in Algebra class, and it's not very fun at all. Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

Philosophically metaphorizing (are those even words?) aside, sometimes time goes by quickly for me in rs, but not usually. I love that metaphor. Time seems to always be accelerating to me. Every year that goes by seems shorter than the last. When I am on RuneScape time seems to slow down. I become aware of every click while skilling, and always how long I've spent and how much longer to my goal. It is agonizing. That's why I have started to train slayer more. When slaying, the levels seems to slip past, without a big "50k xp to go!" "47k!" "45k!". There's only "Slayer task complete. WOOT!" Time definately exists and is changeable depending on a gravitational pull and by high speeds. Perhaps you should look into the theory of relativity some time?
