Last year's Halloween items weren't that great: a skeleton suit that most people threw out. Christmas was also a drag for the majority, for it was a useless reindeer hat, that didn't look too great. Easter this year gave us a chicken suit, which was utterly useless. Do you believe that this year Jagex will make the Halloween event actually good (like the Easter event where you got the ring as the reward)? Or will it just be like the past few holiday events?

well seen as the update was voted for my f2p it might be bad as members allready have serival hoods to choose from but only time will tell

Well it was 100% players choice through the poll so if the reward is bad it is the majority of player who voted for it's fault......

I think it's a probability, Jagex just haven't been doing well IMO with holiday items. I liked the easter ring, and that's the last one that was honestly interesting at all. I don't even have them in my bank - I can get them back from Diango if need be. Hopefully, we get an item you can have some fun with. Perhaps last easter's attempt (changing the flap emote) was a shot at this, albeit a pathetic one.

I agree, the Easter ring was a nice holiday item (basically a poor man's ring of stone). I actually take that out and use it once in a while, just to sit in a bank and chat. Every holiday item after that I've thrown away, and never bothered to get back.

eh, I think holiday events are getting useless, every holiday event 90+% of all active runescapers get that item so its not unique at all (especially with the one million+ players now), until maybe years later..

 

 

 

I still think theyre fun and make runescape very less boring, but all the work jagex puts into them for a one-time thing (a whole haunted house! :o) it could have been a permanent update.

The grim reaper mansion and the new emote should be good tho.

They should have two rewards for holidays. One that's easy to get and everyone can do it, and another one where the reward is cooler but much harder to get. They did something like this, but only for members, which obviously is another way to get more member because 2 million or so isnt enough. Because the chicken suit would have seemed cooler if not every had one.

I realy am looking forward to it it sounds very kool actually.

Yeah, that would be really cool if there was an item that everyone could get fairly easily, and an item that was a little harder, so maybe only more experienced players could get it.

I am not entirly sure what the poll results for the event were, but they all seemed like fun. And the winner of the clothing was the hood which should look good, but jagex somehow finds a way to make many things look bad. :wall: *hopes for a dark black hood like the slayer cape*

Well...the house seems to be pretty exciting, with the traps and all. However, I'm not quite sure how I feel about the hood...seems too ordinary/bland.

I really wish Jagex wouldn't waste precious development time on pointless and temporary updates such as Halloween and Easter. I can understand Xmas, but that's enough.

I dont see why you guys complain about the holiday items. You didn't pay for them, so why complain you dont like them. I'm wearing my skull suit for the rest of the month, just cause it's close to halloween.

 

 

 

The hood will be cool, but i wanted the bone pendant so I could turn into a pile of bones. The emote is gonna be cool, so atleast that one won.

Read my last commentation in teh gielinor tribune. The majority of players did NOT vote for the winning selection in each of the 3 catagories. The catagories that won may have had the most votes, but not one of them got over 45%. So all in all the majority of players are dissapointed about at least one of the 3 catagories.
