Halloween: Another let-down?

I hope this one will be really good and fun! The cool ones that i was around for were easter '05 and '06 unfortunateley easers seem good except for this years eastr

To be honest, this event is going to seem like a lot of fun. The events stink if you just go through them in order to get the reward. It is fun if you are doing the events with friends and having a fun time while doing so. The holidays aren't only about an item you may recieve. They should be about the fun times while getting those items, atleast in my opinion. I can't wait. :)

The holiday items i like are all the 2005 christmas hats and the 2006 easter ring. After that nothing special has come.

 

 

 

Im putting my money on that the grim reaper hood will be 100% same as the slayer hood.

 

 

 

 

 

I wish the broom had won, would be cool to fly around. :mrgreen:

 

 

 

The grim reaper mansion and the new emote should be good tho.

Edit: But I don't know why you all like to complain so much, I like obtaining the item, thats half the fun. The other half is wearing or using your silly item, 2005 Christmas was awesome and I love my hats and scarves but if you want something functional to the point were there is an actual use, holiday events aren't for you.

I personally voted for the broom, but I still look forward to the new emote that we will get from the event. That alone is something to look forward to.

What is the point of threads like this? Something that is not released yet, you know nothing about, but you are already setting yourself up for it to be a "let down".

The reason the newer holiday events bite hard cold [bleep], its because their non tradabe. And jagex made them non-tradable because they knew that over time it would become the "new" party hat.

 

 

 

 

 

yes, because we who, now know these items that would be free could be worth millions some time... so in doing so we could make hundreds of accounts to obtain these items during the 1-2 weeks for holidays.

 

 

 

your post was badly thought out, and grossly incorrect about why they now are not as good. the fact is, we got a rubber chicken that could be wielded and used to whack people, then we get a rubber chicken suit??? okay because those are comparable.

Its a free item, what do you have to complain about?

 

 

 

Party hats, masks, and santa hats were free at one time too. They look good, and now are worth millions (although these new items are pretty bad..and cant be worth anything)

Most of the people who voted for the broom probably thought that it would actually made you fly around runescape. It will probably just be an emote like someone else said.

this haloween might be good but once i get it itl be another reward locked up in the toybox (in my poh)

I think you should wait until it is actually released before you make a judgement. For all we know the hood could be a masterpiece by Jagex, I'm sure the actual event will be. Jagex does well with the events in my opinion. :)

I love all the Holiday Events as there something different and there normally very fun.

 

This year sounds the same although i'm not looking forward to the hood....

Last year's Halloween items weren't that great: a skeleton suit that most people threw out. Christmas was also a drag for the majority, for it was a useless reindeer hat, that didn't look too great. Easter this year gave us a chicken suit, which was utterly useless. Do you believe that this year Jagex will make the Halloween event actually good (like the Easter event where you got the ring as the reward)? Or will it just be like the past few holiday events?
