If I had children, I'd take their media devices away if they tried to listen to bad music :-w...

Lol. I heard some of the Seniors in the locker room talking about this. I'd totally try it, but my parents would crap themselves and take away my iPod. Which is never going to happen. =;

What is this you're listening to?!?! NOISE?!! GO TO YOUR ROOM!

Lol. My parents have an annoying habit of just randomly going through my iPod. And they'd probably be nosey(sp?) and look at what I was downloading. Only 4 more years, and I won't have to deal with them anymore.

I'll try an I-Doser hit of marijuana later tonight. :) I'll tell you how it compares...

I wouldn't call this a "safe alternative" right away.

A lot of the worries surrounding soft psychoactive drugs (LSD, shrooms, cannabis) are the psychological effects. Anxiety, paranoia and "bad trips" from these drugs have often been documented to trigger mental illnesses (like psychosis) in rare cases.[1][2][3]

In this thread alone, it seems like many of the I-Doser users experienced slight anxiety and paranoia from their short-lived experience.

I'm sure as technlogy advances and the I-Dosers become more "potent" they will also have increased psychological risk for those (rare) individuals susceptible to mental illness.

That's just speculation, though.

Just a note: please be aware of the disclaimers.

It's got me interested enough that I really want to try it, but not interested enough to pay $20.00

for it. Looks like there's a failure in their advertising department somewhere. :(

Also, if you think you can't affect the basic state of your brain with just sensory input, you're

kinda' wrong. Actually, it's a known fact that prolonged exposure to certain combinations of

colored light can have deleterious effects on mental stability. It's called chromopsychosis, and

can reach fatal levels by inducing hypertrophy of the tonsils, blocking air intake and resulting

in asphyxiation.

I'm not even going to read anything you write anymore since you like to make up words to sound intelligent.

What word is made up?

Chromopsychosis.

Checked google.com, checked yahoo.com, checked answers.com, nothing but his post on this forum saying this word.

This is definately an interesting concept.

I tried the alcohol one to about 30% while in a chair, relaxed, staring out the window at the afternoon amber light without a care in the world. But, nothing like being drunk, sorry. I was just relaxed and sleepy. Almost like in a meditation. I'll have to give it a better shot some other time.

yeah i did the alcohol one to 43% and almost the same thing happened to me too. and the dishwasher was running in the next room and I kept thinking it might be my parents getting out of bed or something, so that was a bit distracting.

I'm gonna try a real drug one now :ohnoes:

If you're not going to read it and rebut it, don't try to post saying that your arguement is stronger, or just don't post at all.

I think it's just self induced hypnosis. In your mind you set expectations for how a drug effects your mind. Then when you're already in a somewhat meditative state, you go into a trance where you're susceptible to suggestion. Since you're looking for effects, anything that you think might be an effect from the music you blow out of proportion, intensify yourself, focus on, and make yourself think is an effect from the music. If you don't believe this kind of hypnosis is possible, watch what Derren Brown does to people without music or anything:

I think it would be awesome if this was legitimate, but it just isn't. A lot of people here probably tried torrenting these, and the only replies to this thread were from those who it worked for. That's why it seems like it worked so well on people. It just worked best on those who easily can trick themselves into thinking something's going on that isn't.

I tried my first dose, 80% opium. Never tried opium the drug and I didn't have a good idea of the effects.

The result: By 70% I started feeling slightly different. I had a tightness in my chest, strange pressure on my ears, I was able to recognize the beat better, and things seemed to move slowly. I was feeling quite relaxed and tired but at the same time slightly nauseous from the buzzing.

By 80% the "high" was gone and I was bored and just nauseous.

Tomorrow I'll make a more serious attempt. Maybe weed or LSD, not quite sure.

Hand of god: My teeth itch.

Hahah, me too. i tried this last night and I could feel some sort of effect, notably that my hearing went mental. About 3/4 the way through one of my mates burst out laughing and it sounded like 3 people were laughing at the exact same time, and it echoed. When it was finished, my hearing was crazy, was phasing all over the place. I reakon this was more of a physical effect on my hearing though...aside from that, me face just went a bit numb and my teeth were vibrating.

Pretty sure this was actually just physical effects from the audio rather than anything mental. Either way, was fun, hahah.

Just bought Victory of the site (only a few $$$ for it). Hopefully I can try it and it'll help me with my sport and other aspects of life. I'll give it a go when the download link comes and give it a go.

I've been saying it is impossible for it to do anything, but for some reason people just don't listen.

When I first downloaded the stuff, I started listening to Viagra since it was done first. I was convinced that it wouldn't work, but I was going to try it anyway. I started listening for about a minute when my mom came in. She said something before she came in and the sensation was really weird. It was as if I had been asleep the entire time, and when she came in she woke me up. I would say the cosest thing to what had been happening is daydreaming.

Then last night when everybody else in my house was asleep, I decided to try Ecstasy, since it was the shortest. I listened for a minute or two and though I heard a voice, so I got scared and turned it off. It was dead silent for a moment, but then I swore I could hear distant voices. But that may have been due to the fact that I was so tired, or the two combined. So then I tried Heroin, but it sounded the same as Ecstacy, so I turned it off after about 30 seconds. But I realize now that it put me into sort of a meditative state, in which I wasn't fully aware of my surroundings. Then again that might have also just been extreme tiredness.

So I decided to try Marijuana. I turned it on, and after about 20 seconds my leg twitched, which was weird because it wasn't a normal twitch, and I dont usualy twitch at all. It was my entire leg. But I kept listening, and it happened again. It happened about 2 more times, and then I got this floating sensation in my legs. And then I moved a little, and it went away. So I paused it, and put a pillow behind my head, and started listening again. And I got the same floating sensation, but not as intense. So I closed my eyes, and it happened again, but I realised that I might just have been falling asleep. So I switched off the iPod, and watched my recorded Futurama episode, but fell asleep within the first 10 minutes.

And I had been using the normal iPod earbuds that were around during the first-gen iPod Nano (the ear buds before the ones that are all curvy, which is the current ear buds).

Don't you think that could have been solely as a result of your meditative state though?

I do think that is very likely, but I would like to put emphasis on the fact that I was very tired at the time.
