Ah, thanks for that. Good to know. Now all of the sudden I don't feel so compelled to gather these rocks.

 

Though the mod is slightly wrong about one thing: the exp reward itself does kinda make people specifically hunt the rocks because you can't get anymore bonus exp from rocks in any one particular skill until you've done the other skills. It is however debatable weather the small amount of exp is worth perusing if you've already maxed more than a few skills in that lineup.
