Once they were in the wall, if you moved your camera angle just right, you could still see them popping up out of the wall a little. I've never seen them before. At first I thought it was something like that or maybe a spell, but there wasn't a player standing there. It also doesn't account for why it hovered for a minute while slowly moving into the wall.
