So you've gone pure mage? for now, yes. it's quite powerful and definitely rivals melee.it's a nice 4th bind for people who are DPS oriented. would not recommend as a 3rd bind though. advantages:-- conserve pray because it's easy to lure-- conserve food because it's easy to lure-- get to attack opponents faster (no need to waste time running towards them)-- higher raw dps than melee-- in some cases, much higher accuracy than melee-- some magic defense (+20) disadvantages:-- in some cases, low accuracy-- some bosses are immune to magic-- have to make fire runes repeatedly-- easy to run out of runes-- doesn't work well with blood necklace I don't understand why you would bind a celestial catalytic staff over an empowered fire staff. Wind Surge has a max hit of 286 with the celestial catalytic staff and Fire Surge has a max hit of 308 with an empowered fire staff. Johannas Posted February 22, 2011 Share Posted February 22, 2011 Day off work = Longest day of no lifeing since i broke my leg. Played about 10 - 12 hours. Started off with a few slayer tasks. This left me with 7k slayer exp from 82. Then kuradel gave me another set of blue dragons (my recent pattern = dust devils, blue dragons, suqahs XD) but then had a sudden urge to level herby to make super antifires (was 80 herblore. already had 88 herblore banked in reg. energy potions but i sold them all and bought 85 herblore instead in ranging potions) Made over 6000 potions today, made me go crazy. [hide][/hide] Potted to 85, made 100 super antifires then rage logged with my 8th random event of the day. Was gonna get another slayer level but couldn't be asked. Band of brothers time then bed. Gotta love how much pures want this book, even though the others work just fine.Main reason I wanted it was for Ranged/Magic, but now it is cheaper just to buy a mages' book for Magic, and I won't even fork out 5m for the extra range bonus a robin has over Archer.
