..or has runescape been SERIOUSLY been lagging and freezing the past week? It won't stop, and its getting in the way of my playing experience. I can't even go to the kq anymore without the fear that the game will freeze on me -.- Its getting really out of hand, so I have to ask...is it just me? Or is everyone experiencing the worst freezing and lagging ever?

I haven't had any problems lately. I'm lag-free. :D

My home world of 131 started to lag uncontrollably about a month or so ago, and I know it's not just me. Everyone in edgeville bank seems to have the same kind of lag as me and at the same time. It's the lag where you click on the screen, but the action of the click doesn't register for up to 30 seconds. During this 30 seconds you can still see enemies moving and things acting normally. It's like the server can send things to you, but you can't send things to it.

Is it the possible that its only the World that I use? And the sort of freezing I'm experiencing is like...

 

 

 

The game just stops, for about 10 - 40 seconds. Everything stops, NPCs, me, other players, player actions (like attacks, high alching, etc..)

I've had some lag but I think it's my own internet problems (dad and his downloads).

 

 

 

But perhaps it's connected.

Because thats been happening to me for about two months but only after its over.

Yea, I've been having the same lag, and for me it usually ends up kicking me out of the game as well. It's really annoying - I got it during Tears Of Guthix, so I only got 3k xp :x . Fortunately, it only seems to occur on certain worlds.

I've been having to clikc things up to 5 times before the little menu comes up :-s

Same thing with my homeworld, world 92, except that before the lag ended slightly, if i was moving, my guy would trace back to fro his steps for 2-3 times before moving on. What a waste of energy.

Since the pc update, i ALWAYS lag whenever i go there...so i cant pc anymore.

 

 

 

And yea ive been lagging recently, maybe its due to the anti-virus i downloaded.

I haven't been lagging since the week leading to the GWD update, but I seem to be fine now :) . If your internet is slow anywhere else (like when browsing the web), you might wanna contact your internet service provider and see if there's anything wrong.

 

 

 

If that doesn't work, just jump up and down the room and yell at your computer and it should fix itself up : (individual results may vary)

All uk servers seem to be lagging for me (im in the uk) its nothing wrong with my connection..... its odd.... hope they sort it soon.

Its just you. I have had no problems, maybe very slight lag when downloading something but I expect that.

I have some small lags, but not anything bigger than normal this week.

Not me, sorry, must be yourself, try another server which is closer to your exchange.

Small lags, nothing out of the usual. It could very well have been the traffic over the holiday period in the UK and the USA, where over 75% of RS users play from, putting a strain on the servers.

 

 

 

Aside from that, contact Jagex. We don't know the answers.

I think it may be you, but I can't tell, I've always had days with bad lag, and days with good lag.

 

Try running a different game, and see if that one lags maybe? Or try a new world.

I get the same thing a lot. I find it helps to reset my DSL modem and my router. Cures the problem for a couple of days usually.

They have been updating their core server, I don't know if thats the problem though.

I've been lagging very badly, and my router seems good.
