TUUSULA, Finland - At least seven people died when a gunman opened fire at a school in southern Finland on Wednesday, hours after a video was posted on YouTube predicting a school massacre.

 

 

 

"At this moment it's seven or more, higher," the head of the medical response team, Dr. Eero Hirvensalo, told Reuters.

 

 

 

A teacher at Jokela High School told Reuters the gunman was one of its pupils.

Really touch me when I was watching the news. I was horrified as it happened in my own country. Never thought it would be possible in Finland. I'm so sorry for the families who lost their child and also for the principal's family. Hope we can sort this out.

 

 

 

According to the latest news here, the shooter shot himself in the head and is now at a critical stage in hospital. Also one other dead just came, so there are eight people now. :cry: There were 2 girl students and 5 boys and the principal who he shot.

 

 

 

Hope this is a one of a kind here in Finland. There is going to be lots of talk in the school tomorrow of this. :(

Wow, I heard from a friends dad while going home from school. When I heard it just putted more speed in my legs and rided as fast as I could to home. There was only 1 dead but then the count started to increase.

 

 

 

8 dead, 5 boys,2 girl and 1 woman the principle. It's really sad to see someone do that and I feel sorry for his parents and lil brother. Well soon we'll se will he survive but if he does I bet he's not going to understand anything.
