He's talking about the update they haven't announced, the one that's for later on this year. I think it's a great idea, albeit probably too intense for rs to handle. That, and that we (somewhat) recently got Barbarian fishing, so i don't think they'll implement more fishing measures so quickly.

Why would that Be such An Amazing update?

 

 

 

 

 

A Boating skill just wouldn't Be able to Stand as its own skill, Would be added to the fishing skill if anything

 

 

 

I doubt the update will be anything to do with skills, Im thinking more along the lines of Graphical update, Mabye even some thing bigger, I just can't say because I do not know

Interesting idea, but the way they described it sounds a lot bigger than a new skill. Just the vibe I got from it. It sounds more like a whole new component to RS instead of a new statistic to add to the list.

Dude, wouldn't catfish be from the river harpooning spot, since it is a river fish?

This will as well open up a new area to travel, fish, fight, and a new high level monster..

 

 

 

The new monster would be the "kraken" It will be lvl 400-600 dropping a dragon item maybe? like the pick, pl8, arrows, knifes, kite.

The ship building part:

 

 

 

There will be 4 shipbuilding yards. To build a ship you have to watch a cutscene training clip(which is skipable) and pay 1 Million gp to purchase a liscence. A bout would take 500 of any log (noted) and 100 of any metal bar besides blurite and elemental. In your boat, with the right construction level, you can builld the following rooms:

 

Galley(used to cook food), Storage tank for storing 40-140 lobs based on materials used and level, and player deck.. this is where you controll and walk around your boat .

 

 

 

Your boat can contain up to 5 people. You can only travel to certain docks but as you get higher leveld you unlock acess to the others.

 

 

 

2 more quests will come out probaly.

 

 

 

One to unlock access to the kracken and the minigame

 

and one to allow you to smith mith-rune cannon balls.

That sounds like a pretty thought out assumption. :

I coulsnt find any threads on the first page relating to this so i decided to start my own. I am still looking for more data to support my theory.
