Why doesn't anyone rc deaths?

I have just recently got 91 rc, but through all these lvls of abyss rcing, I'm disappointed to see so little people (almost no one) at the death altar with me when I'm there. Instead, the nat altar is so packed with rcers once I saw 8 other rcers with me at the nat altar.

Take a look at this:

nats-salesc.png

And

deaths-salesc.png

While comparing the first 15 search results of a search (further down it gets more irrelevant for deaths). Nats is 1st, deaths is bottom. Just look at the amount of sellers for nats, and compare with the amount of sellers for deaths. I personally sold 14k deaths in a timespan of about 15 minutes.

Why aren't there any people rcing deaths? Clearly the exp is more and prices are about the same. Is mourning ends part 2 quest so hard to do? I understand that nat rcers are also competing with people with 91 rc and up, but the amount of "selling x nats y each" is just so overwhelming. Nats are so popular, supply a bit of deaths for the market. :|

R.I.P death rcing for me

Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

There are more money in crafting nats, it is easier, you can craft more runes per essance, more people buy nats, and the path to the death alter is dangerous. Now who woulden't craft nats over deaths? I've done MEP2 I know how annoying the timple of light can be.

I noticed the same thing: I went from 65rc to 91 mostly by making deaths. I met other rcers at the altar, but usually there were none.

I guess this is because it is a lot easier to sell nats in bulk amounts than it is to sell deaths. When I was selling deaths, most people wanted to buy 1 or 2k of em. I think I only managed to sell 20k in one go once.

On the other hand, selling deaths was never a problem and if you want to get 91 without the lawfirm, it is the way to go as they gives way more xp.

nat: 280 ea

death: 250 ea

nat: many people buy to high alch

death: people buy to use slayer dart.

nat: don't need any quest

death: need a hard quest that I dont plan on doing

So zmi and nat ftw :D

Look at the pictures, people are buying deaths are almost the same price as nats. I just sold 6k deaths so quickly at GE for 285 each.

Personally, I get tons of Deaths from drops, but get very few Nature drops so when I RC I usually only do Nats. Also, I know a lot of people who RC Nats or Deaths according to which side of the Abyss they randomly get thrown into.

MEP 2 has insane requirements. 70 agility is recommended, try looking at the highscores..

Also you have to complete the quest chain which is very hard to most. And then 65 RC and wanting to make deaths..

All this adds up to being easier to just make nature runes. For those who can make deaths, most do. More exp, equel money and well, more fun (as it looks to me, can'tmake deaths, got High RC tough)

As for the bots, bugger em ;) At the moment nobody is complaining really. Deaths simply cannot be autoed. A lot of them come in the game via barrows / drops. Demand remains high, especially in F2P. Selling goes just as easy as nature runes. Constant price..

Requirements are hard --> Big minus

More experience per rune --> Big plus

Same ease in selling / price / demand --> Neutral..

So really, if you got the requirements, deaths is the way to go. but like it states, IF! you got em.

There are several reasons why more people rc nats instead of deaths.

1. There is a higher demand for nats then deaths due to people hi-alching to train mage.

2. People need to finish MEP2 quest to be able rc deaths.

3. Deaths are a much more common monster drop over nats.

4. Nats prices are usually slightly higher than deaths.

Unfortunately, the duel arena update killed demand of nats from mage stakers that are training (why you see nat price dropped).

There aren't much death supply from barrows since barrowers reuse them for magic dart? And 70 agility isn't that hard.. #-o

Look a the pictures, both are 280 each. You need 91 to craft 2 nats per ess, MANY of the nat crafters do not have 91. It may be true that more people buy nats, but there are more people selling them too. A bit less people selling deaths, but a lot less selling. That makes it easier to sell them, really. It's the same path in the abyss, where the massive percentage of runcrafters make their runes.

But yeah, that quest is probably the only thing stopping them.

High-alching that REALLY expensive item in my inventory looks more and more tempting with every beer I drink.

Its not all that hard really all that hard erad :P

Anyways its a large factor of reasons.

Many more people have the level to runecraft natures, then do deaths.

That and the fact that it is one of the more annoying quests with decently high requirements so many people cant runecraft them. And why should they go out of their way to make runes that sell for the same? Especially since Runecrafting is more of a profit skill then a leveling up skill.

Also when it comes to monster drops, Natures are practically never dropped, (except in the rare 67 at a time drops, or by basilisks) Other then those just about every slayer monster drops death runes, as well as many non slayer monsters.

Furthermore many more people also train using high alch spells as opposed to slayer dart for barrows or dag kings.

(Already up to 200 Death runes while typing this, and guess how many nature runes I have gotten from drops. Thats right none  )

First off... Erad, I swear you were 88 Rcing just a few days ago

Lol gratz on the big 91.

Well pretty much everything that should be said... Has been said.

Nats have been more reliable for price and convenience in the past, it takes a low level to make, no requirements besides your runecrafting level, and all that jazz. Plus for people like me, I've kept making natures for two main reasons.

1) I've made natures for so long that it's weird to make any other runes, they've kept me happy and I've kept my buyers happy. So I've just kept with them.

2) I haven't done MEP2 :( I should probably get on that. I wanna make some Deaths :)
