Dear Tip.it readers,

 

 

 

Why the heck do p2p regard them self as higher players than f2p-ers? I can't help to notice people popping up new messages about this and i have a few questions to ask:

 

 

 

1. Why you think you are better people than us, who don't pay for the game

 

2. Why are you always referring to: "you don't pay 5 dollar, you don't have a reason to ask things from jagex"

 

3. why are so many of you people so full of themselves that you think other people are worth "less" than you?

 

4. Have you ever talked with an f2p-er for the reasons he did not wanted to be a member?

 

5. Do you consider f2p players as human beings?

 

6. I heard that most people in member worlds are brutal, annoying and lame, is this true? (I heard it from ex f2p-ers ;) )

 

 

 

You member people need to know what goes on in a player that does not wishes to pay or is not able to pay 5 dollars a month. I can tell you I play over 3 years of runescape now, if i was a member from the start i would have to pay 180 euro over my whole rs period. in this time i have hold that 180 euro on my bank account which gives me real life profit. Why would i want to become p2p? I am already obsessed with the game, if I would get p2p that would mean the end of my real life!

 

 

 

Reason's for F2p to NOT become p2p (actual taken from a f2p forum)

 

 

 

1. Parents won't pay for their membership

 

2. Being in the top 200 f2p list

 

3. Don't want to pay for it

 

4. The behavior of p2p players

 

5. The addiction it can bring with it

 

 

 

There are more, but i forgot those i got to look them up in that forum.

Back to the question: Why do you think so low of people that are f2p-ers? we are humans, we play runescape as a game where we feel at ease just as you, some f2p-ers are just as famous as p2p-ers. Why is it always that i notice some low leveled p2p-ers are opposing me as if they are better... Is it not an achievement I freaking got 1340 total free to play based only?? (currently ranked 56th in f2p) I am a player that's been around for a while, I also am older than the average runescape player, thsat's why i would like some statistics to the reactions you post here:

I don't know where you have run into to people like this but you must've had some pretty bad luck on meeting some decent people. There probably are a number of full members that think of themselves as better than free players but I believe a majority don't. Then there is always the ignore list that you can use if someone annoys you so there isn't too much of a reason to get too wound up about it.

2. Because you don't. Making updates costs time and money, f2p advertisements pay just enough to maintain the f2p servers and that's it. If you don't contribute, don't expect to have your opinion heard.

Actually you can find loads of people who chat for fun, however if you hang out in crowded places- thats another story.

My message would be: Take these things lightly, if they start talking trash after losing to logical arguement then leave them. You can always say 'No' or 'meh' or 'I DUN CARE TBH'. On top of that, never mimic them by saying "I have a main" or "I'm mem haha" honestly no one cares.

from my observation, you'll find more immature brats in p2p worlds they're just spread out. f2p is just badly publicized... i'd guess. less room for the idiots that are there to roam, so they end up all in one of the big cities

 

so it's 50 f2p idiots in varrock, 100 p2p idiots spread across the p2p cities. which would make a bigger impact to viewers?

Thanks for your replies, I already know the average tip.it player has more common sense than a regular player, but i see all the times messages popping up of people, on which they act if they are superior - i am not saying all p2p-ers do, but I am sure there are also members that think we as free players at some points have good suggestions, and i am kinda sick of it, that every time i ask a normal question messages from either inexperienced or immature people show up about that i don't know what i am talking about and that p2p is sooo much better then f2p.

 

 

 

I am referring to those people: why don;t they understand it was my decision not to pay money for the game, for wichever legitimate reason that i want to have, and all they keep replying - by the hundreds - is: you are f2p you can not nag about updates. Sure we can!! I am sending messages to Jagex every day to finally get a nice good respond back and I am sure they will notice it, even when I am f2p. I just want to make the game for the better.....

 

 

 

If you want to know what I mean, do a search on my name and select the topics in suggestion or rant, then you will know what I am talking about and I am sick of it.

I'm 15, P2P and think you're just generalising the P2Per's, which makes you just as bad as the people in P2P who are rude towards free players. I have many F2P friends I and don't consider them to be worthless or of a lesser value than me. :?

2. I'd have to say that's it's true, they can't ask for a lot since they don't pay (doesn't mean they shouldn't have any updates). As you stated above, there are plenty of reasons why f2p don't pay to get members.

Cause that's the way the real world works. If you don't pay for stuff, you don't get it. I don't care if f2p gets updates, but the sense of entitlement that comes from a large portion of f2p really gets my goat.

I think more adults play on p2p than f2p so generally the atmosphere is more adult, people on f2p have usually (but definately not always) played the game for a shorter period.

 

 

 

There are a lot of idiots on p2p but you come across them less.

 

 

 

I went onto f2p today to do some f2p pking, i prefer it over member pking. In general although noob gets bandied around a lot go over lvl 10 wild and i find people are actually better on f2p wild than p2p (excluding world 17).

 

 

 

within seconds of logging on f2p today i was mobbed by beggars, im not a particularly high lvl and ok i was wearing a few members items but dangg so many trades so many people asking for money, so many people asking if i want a gf/bf.

 

 

 

Why do i not like being on or near f2p'ers south of edgeville? because of the behaviour of f2p'ers.

 

 

 

I would never judge a f2p'er as an individual and treat everyone with the same respect when i meet them, but i do generalise about f2p'ers because the majority i see are extremely immature. Sorry to say it but that's my experience of f2p. Obviously like on members get out of the towns to some quiter training spots u can meet some decent people, but the towns are just horrid.

I'm not saying that we deserve updates, I'm good with F2P as it is but what I do have a problem with is the *SOME* P2P'ers that think they're better than us because they pay for a game.

 

 

 

If I was to turn P2P right now, nothing about myself would've changed besides the fact that I pay for a game. So if the *SOME* of you who think that because you pay $5(or whatever currency) you've gained some superior intellect, you're wrong and to do something worthwhile.
