eckythump0
I shall do what i always do.......... Slay Slay and more Slay when i get a up a few levels then i may look at summoning as i must not be destracted from my 99 Slayer cape (sighs & weeps uncontrollably) ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅThat proves it, doesn't it? You said he was dead! It's like Chinese food, this is. Half an hour later you have to kill him again!̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâà
Bo4345
Another skill certainly involved will be slayer. from latest development diary: whether that's the skillcape at level 99, cockatrices at level 43 or just pet dogs at level 1. You need 25slay to kill cockatrices, so maybe you also need that slaylevel to summon them? Hm mabye they could be a jade vine type of thing --- I'm getting cash for summoning and mabye some eggs and bones
Twc23
The Guild has been gathering hunting supplies, training, doing everything possible. I've gotten up about 150k essence and plenty of money to buy more. I'm pretty excited about Summons =D Twc The Heart of a Fool is in his mouth, while the mouth of a Wise Man is in his heart.- Ben Franklin
Winner5555
I'm just trying to get 14m slayer xp (13.68m at the moment) before I get dragged off to summon and raise my combat. However, I do have 7-10 of each of the colored eggs, and got bored and killed vultures for 7 eggs 621st person to achieve 99 slayer on December 3rd, 2007177th person to 99 summoning on June 21st, 2008

transcript80
Only put 2M in my kingdom because I needed herbs and tree seeds. Now I hope for some more bird eggs. For the rest: I think (as stated before) that it will not be possible to sell the items needed for summoning at extreme prices due to the 3k-30k trade limit. So it won't be construction pt2. All items (including the new ones) will have a value represented in the trade window. Therefor, the limit still stands, even when there's no price in the GE yet. The only benefit could be that you can level it very fast yourself, but I think/hope JaGEx learned its lesson with construction. Ususally, they frown upon merchers that want to make a quick gp over the back of power skillers, so I think it will be this way. Other data was removed when acoount got hacked... w0ngt0ng
Well, I'm not sure whether summoning will be F2P, so I'll just wait. I should probably start collecting chicken eggs... They might have some use. MIGHT. F2P | 59/70 smith | 13/15 skills 70+ | 70 smith banked.
DavidMcC
everyone thats saying they are going to buy stuff and sell high might have a bit of a tough time doing that now. seeing as we cant now due to trade limits. :uhh:

killjoyfuly
i love wikipedia On 22nd November 2007, the MMORPG RuneScape released a message regarding a new update on its homepage, involving the wolpertinger: "All these questions and more are answered in today's brand new Development Diary (well, okay, maybe not the wolpertinger one just yet)." This Development Diary talks about the Summoning skill, being released January 2008. This says that the wolpertinger can be one of the creatures that a player could summon. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolpertinger so we know that its definitely the creature that was disscused in the bts

I don't believe you...if almost all of the prices in the game are based on the ge price now, how can new items have a price limit without a ge price? because jagex has always assigned a basic value to every item, although now they seem to actually think about what the item should be worth and what people woudl pay for it.. and then with the ge, prices will rise or fall based on how good that assumption was and the demand/ supply from players.... unless they just do like hunter and everything you could possibly need is in 1 shop with set value and probably infinite number OT: im gathering eggs and those evil squid from rum deal since they have the same name as that one mod's favorite summon Karam-a-thingy :-D LK1 this random comment brought to you today by ADD: ADD, bringing random entertainment to all for generations

Matok
the only thing i did was completing varroc museum and almost all of the achievment diary but without (!!!) taking the rewards (yea, you cant bank those). Hopefully, if Jagex wont put any first week/month restrictions (though i have the feeling they will) it will give me a nice 26k start

ROSSODIAVOLO
well my preparation for summoning hasnt been all that great...been hitting all the forums hard for info and stuff, then racking my brain as to what those monsters might need to be summoned I've already for half decent hunter and I cba lvling it anymore but 74 should give me a decent start if it is involved... I've collected some random stuff..list as follows [hide]100 chicken eggs 100 frogspawn 100 ashes 100 raw chicken (undead) 50 raw chicken 50 vampire dust 50 bones 50 bat bones 50 monkey bones 50 wolf bones 50 locust meat 50 skulls 50 tortoise shells 50 eagle feathers 41 vulture eggs 15 raw beef (undead) 10 proboscis 5 swamp weed 1 red egg 1 blue egg plus other normal stuff in my bank like food, chicken feathers. logs etc[/hide] Once it comes out tho, im gonna work my [wagon] off getting supplies and hopefully get a decent rank in it asap (Eventho they said it'll be slow and expensive :XD: ) Also I had decided to keep a book of knowledge for when it came out, knowing it'd only give me rubbish xp but meh, but then I got the random again and didnt get another book !!!!! :x :x so scrapped that idea and used the one I was carrying with me (It didnt even give me any extra xp eventho it was 2 books worth !!) ROSSODIAVOLO
Are you playing a different game then we are? Because they didn't say that. While the skill is neither cheap or expensive to train, high-level familiars will obviously cost more to summon than low-level ones, so players will have to weigh the benefits of each familiar against the cost of summoning them. Also, the skill will not initially be a fast skill to train. so ok maybe ur right, i should change it to "relatively expensive" :?

Basically, i dont mind waiting few more weeks with the lamps,26k can be a nice boost at any level < 60, i just hope they will be clear about this issue....
